Been having the same problem for about 3 weeks now.
Starting up launcher is fine. login in with password is fine but character selection never appears. just a black screen with a greyed out "loading" circle in the bottom left corner.

i had a ticket in earlyer and was told too run rescache.

this did find many missing files wich were replaced but still samme problem persists..

What on earth is the problem?.. been weeks without logging in now :(

Yeah I have this same problem too now. I can't play anything, oh well, was loosing interest anyways.

Do you try to launch the game directly from the exe file ? ( /bin/exefile.exe )

I only use the laucher to update my client, and launch the game thru the exe directily.

Your internet bandwidth is fine ? I have "long black screen" too when i use internet from my GSM network on my laptop (3G or 2G connection :D ).
