Hello again everybody,


Hot on the heels of my completed loan, I am now looking to the long term and wish to issue a bond in order to expand my trading operations. I have the vision to make this happen, but I lack the liquid capital to make it so. This is where you, people of Emm Dee, would step in to make my plan a reality and yourselves a little bit richer.


Basically, my plan consists of a very nice basket of goods sold in a couple of low sec (and a high sec border) hubs - since taking out my initial loan, I have identified one other market that looks pretty profitable, and I would like to continue with my existing markets and try out this new one. So far, things have been going very well and there is every indication that this trend will continue.


Proposal: a 5bn bond, divided into 1bn increments, over a 60 day (or two month, as you please - initially, subject to change) duration, paying 8%/billion monthly. Upon the conclusion of the bond, I would repay the principle along with the second interest payment. I have never proposed a bond issue before and I hope that this satisfies requirements, if not please let me know and I will alter accordingly.

Please note: The following is information I provided from my previous completed loan. As not much has changed (particularly with regards to risk and my exit strategy, I have simply copied it from my previous effort. [Any changes and additions below will be bracketed and bolded!])

Collateral: none. I don't know what to suggest at this point, as apart from random garbage throughout New Eden, I don't really have anything else of note. vOv [Since my first venture, I have a fair amount of ISK in stock, but still no real liquidity to speak of. This is really hindering growth!]

Risks: Oh, plenty! So many I don't even know where to begin, not least the lack of collateral and the fact that this is my first time doing something like this (on a major scale). Yes, I could very easily run off with the money, and in fact many of you are probably thinking that very same thing (if you're not a fan of my postings elsewhere on the forums). However, all I can really offer is my word, and the fact that this idea of mine has really piqued my interest and I am committed to guiding and building this project. You might also suspect that this is a rep grinding activity, leading to larger loans (with an eventual theft) in the future. Again, if you believe that, there's not much I can do to disabuse you of that notion, but I am interested in seeing if the research that I've put into the framework of this would work. Hopefully, after this, I will be able to take things forward on my own, without external assistance. [I have now discovered that I love the thrill of trading!]

I might be a (mediocrely) good troll, but I'm not really a 'grab the money and run' individual - it wouldn't sit well with me if I were to abscond. I wouldn't be abashed in reporting failure, but not outright theft. Of course, you don't know me from Adam, and there's literally nothing stopping me from doing that should I be successful, but I wouldn't. My moustache is honourable.

I could also be hit by a bus and incapacitated in a thousand other ways, which might put a scupper on things. If I am successful eliciting a loan from (a) kindly individual(s), I would give my wife a sealed envelope with my login details and instructions on disbursements to investors, though I imagine she'll be weeping as she does it because she'll be distraught (I am loveable in RL). Which brings me nicely to... [I told my wife about this plan, and she just laughed and said something about space aliens and zombie Nazis...I think she's conflating several games here!]

Exit strategy: Ok, honestly speaking, I'm not expecting to fail hard with this one, but anything's possible. If, after three weeks, things look like they're headed south, I'll take the only exit that I know how, and whip out my credit card and buy a couple of PLEX. I'll sell these and return the money to investors. [This exit plan is remaining the same, with the exception of a bigger PLEX purchase to cover the increased principle.]


I hope I've covered everything - if not, please feel free to shoot me a message here or in-game. Like before, I'm anticipating people picking this apart, and, like before, I welcome constructive criticism.

It is actually my very first bond - the other one was a loan :)

If you could be more specific, that would be helpful - as I said in the OP, I'm very new to this so would appreciate input.



e: as I mentioned in my loan thread, I did point out that I might have a need for more liquidity in the near future - it's not exactly as if this is out of the blue! Now that I know I can productively multiply ISK on my own, I felt confident about proposing this - I just need a little bit of a loan to truly get things going and maximise my order slots.

A lazy investor that only reads your headline, will judge that 5% is too low interest rate for a first uncollateralised bond slash loan.
It'll probably fill anyway, investors seem bent on filling all offers atm.

Got the mail notification. I like the cut of your jib. Additionally glad you took note of Cista's feedback and sweetened the reward to risk ratio. Reserving 1billion space monies - hopefully others can have a stab at the remainder if they're so inclined.
