Hello everyone!

This is more of a direct question than anything.

We have had wormholes for a long time now, many clues about the sleepers and the talocan remain exhausted, and yet other sparsly known. on a personal basis, i think that new sites (similar to sleeper cache sites) that allow you to use an entosis link to find Talocan bodies or transcripts+ your usual loot would be a refreshing change to the current list of sites.

Since the lore behind Drifters is rapidly expanding and their story developes, perhaps it would be nice for explorers to be actually able to explore sleeper sites for a chance of gaining some kind of insight as to what happened, Or clues that might come together to grant you access to a permament Sleeper structure that (for example changes access codes each day and requires you to successfully hack sleeper enclaves giving you 1-6/6 digits of the code depending on the wormhole class?) This gives more value to the sites that take time to respawn and would help wormhole dwellers to feel like they have to defend their wormhole to protect this loot container.

Shield are red, Armor is too, i slapped my heavy neut, all over you. Fingers crossed, broken shattered and burned, across from the bubble and into your hull.

No. Change is bad.

On a more serious note, Ccp said, when they introduced wormholes, that there were bits and pieces of a story scattered around w-space, and that only a collective effort would allow players to find out about the story.

In other words, they put in some loosely associated text and hoped the players would make a better story, then they could say they're correct. A lot was found, a lot has been theorized, but in the end the only concrete conclusion anyone ever reached was, that Ccp was simply lazy and that there was no real story. Even the drifters have no real story tbh, bits and pieces only.

Example: One of the higher class anoms is called quarantine zone. It gives out some ranfom garbage message upon warping to the site. In 7 years since wormholes came to be, nothing was added or fleshed out. People thought that maybe the sleepers were like jovians, fighting a disease, or that they tried to curb it. In the end, CCP left everyone guessing, no info was released throughout all these years, or rather whatever was released was vague, unconnected and possibly from a different author aćltogether. Oh and the chronicles stopped being released every month or so.

Either way, there is no story. Sleepers drop blue loot so you can make money and blow up shiny ****. Also 'defending' doesn't need to be encouraged through sites. You see a non-blue in your home, you shoot him, and **** the pve crap.

There was a very good story put in, some special items where needed to help advance the story line, these where destroyed by a player.

with pirate battle ships bpc's and x-types falling out of the sky in null sec these days, you dont need w-space level income to fly shiny things.

Well i can agree with the first part of what your saying, i have not seen any real evidence of an actual story...
However, as you said theres alot of theories, one in particular (i like alot),
Which is an idea that the 4 ancient civilisations were wiped out by the drifters, but not because of war or resources, but because the drifters took a far more direct and violent approach to finding a cure for DNA damage they recieved when the EVE gate collapsed (which is explained by the radioactive cells that they have). The drifters abducted and dominated the other races to test on them and assimilate any technological advantages.
Eventually only the Talocan were left, they fled using their advanced spacial manipulation technology to another galaxy, but sadly their escape was short lived when drifters figured out how to use "The black monolith" to get to them. When the Talocans finally realised that there was no escape, they infected themselves with a lethal virus so that anyone abducted by Drifters could potentially (and savagely) murder the drifters in the process. For whatever reason, this did not work and between the virus and the drifters the Talocan went extinct. This is more clearly shown in the new shattered wormholes.

Thats the kind of lore, i'd love to see more evidence of, perosonally.

On the note of defending wormholes, It's often the case in EVE that people sometimes need a reason to help encourage them to fight. Now wormhole groups tend to be more open to combat, but i feel that having that extra little thing to fight over (because it belongs to you in your eyes or it gives a unique supply of a certain compound).

Thankyou for everyones feedback so far

What does this refer to? I remember Arik'Jallan and the work there. What unique items were destroyed? and if they were so important you would think CCP would just spawn more or have them drop the next time that guy got podded or something. I agree CCP are lazy story tellers but I want more! This is a unique universe and the stories are very engaging.

Way back (in AHARM's prime) there was some frig, I think helios, dropped in Nova with some kind of sleeper artifact in its cargo but some genious found it and popped it rather than board it.
There's a KM for it somewhere, though I cbf looking for it.
