A short silly poem, written by Synthia, for the competition:

Aldrith's Hair

Aldrith Shutaq, he of flowing mane,
Was seated one day, at the Basilica,
When a stranger passed nearby,
Reeking of strong Amarr wheat liquor,

The stranger without any word,
Ran his hand through Aldrith's hair,
An act that was most untoward,
Then said loudly "Sir, I do declare"

"The flowing locks upon your head,
Are soft as my wife's fair skin."
Surprised by this, noble Aldrith said,
"Indeed they are", with a wolfish grin.

"How dare you, sir", the stranger said
with anger and face turning red,
"Suggest my wife took you to bed"
"Or otherwise with you was naked"

And Aldrith grinned, "I mean no offence"
"For I sought only to entertain"
"For rapid wit is my greatest defence"
"Against those that stroke my mane"

"For my hair, as lustrous as it is"
"Does not belong solely to me"
"My own wife, as fearsome as she is"
"might get angry, then we both must flee"

The stranger laughed, "Sir, I apologise"
The two men smiled and Aldrith said
"That is alright, for few men realise"
"The power of my fabulous head"

And with these jests, and others too
The two men turned from foes to friends
Words may heal or harm, and often do
And with that, this poem ends.
