EVE New Citizens Q&A

2 day old char, 141k skill points, killed Dagan quickly and solo with my Thrasher, here's how:

2x Counterbalanced Weapon Mounts I

1500x Caldari Navy Mjolnir Rocket

STRATEGY:

Had some trouble with Dagan last night in my Rifter, trained up Minmatar Destroyer to level 1 and tried him this morning, piece-o-cake: Warp in, activate Afterburner and leave it on the entire time, kill his escorts first though it's not essential (I got 3/4 first and the fourth after taking out Dagan himself), target Dagan and burn towards him, orbit at 500m (Dagan won't be able to hit you), open fire, he pops in about two minutes.

* I took a couple glancing hits from Dagan on final approach but not much damage, my shield never dropped below 95% which, with the two medium extenders, gives you 2,730 shield HP and an 11 hp/s recharge.

* The two Counterbalanced Weapon Mounts I in the lows push your turret DPS to 182.7 which is enough to break his shield, the rockets only add an additional 9.7 DPS and I didn't know what else to fit in the extra high, plus it looks cool.

* You'll need a fraction of that ammo, which is expensive, but I brought extra just in case. 840 rounds of Republic Fleet EMP S and 80 Caldari Navy Mjolnir Rockets should do the trick.

Good post. I love to see the creative ways newbies can handle dagan. That was my first big hurdle too.
