New Plex Feature -- Very Profitable!

Hey I was wondering if you guys could add a feature to the plex that allows a player to substitute 1 plex for 30 days of Instant skill research from the character training que based on what was at the top of that list.... I understand that's pay to play but when research times are greater than 9 years it makes since to offer this and help give new players skills without waiting 9 years to train. The more plex's you sell the better it is for everyone!

no, no and no again for this. it would kill the game for me. EVE stands out from the other games due to this and some other unique features and this needs to stay that way. or else new characters could just get out the creditcard and create the ultimate char in a few hours.

Yeah sure, I just became 9 EVE years yesterday with the experience that comes with it, why wouldn't I want a noob to buy my experience and kick me in my behind for spending the better part of a decade?

"SP is helpful for the game?" Here's all of the research on motivation -- it says the opposite! What purpose does it serve, then? Starter corps are non-competitive. Sov is unchallenged. "Fix sov!" you say? Remove SP.

Why throw PLEX at training when you can throw it at the bazar and not need any new code to be implemented?

The noob plexing his SP to the equivalent of 9 years would not have your experience... PLEX for SP is a bad idea but what you posted is probably at least if not more stupid.

Because 20-40 PLEX is much more pricey than a few.

There is no statistic because it never happened. The projection that many people see is that many people will dump money on the game to train for something and potentially get bored of it. Since they will never have trained stuff the current way, they will see their next train as another need to dump more money on the game and might just say **** it and leave.

The real issue with ideas like that is that we don't really know what will happen if it gets in but if you look at other MMO, you will see that every single one of them who introduced a bad cash shop is borderline dead now. Those that didn't implement cash shop that people hated with a passion are faring much better. It's a gamble and only CCP know if they want to go with that but a lot of people see it for what it is, a gamble where we can't even really get the odds to judge if they are good or not. It's like playing poker with 300 decks of cards shuffled together. You never know if you have a good because your cards don't eliminate the opposition's chance of having the same ones.

PLEX originally started as a way to streamline trading Game Time Codes for ISK, which itself was a way to combat ISK farmers selling ISK for real money. CCP then expanded the scope of PLEX to include PLEX for Good, funding trips to Iceland once a year, MTC, and other things. Honestly, taking PLEX beyond the scope of in game GTCs was a mistake. The more CCP allows people to do with PLEX, the more they want to be able to do with it.
