Issues, Workarounds & Localization

For the past month I m experiencing a complete pc shutdown while playing eve.

First I thought it was a heat related issue, removed all sorts of heatsinks and reapplied paste, measured it, no problems.Case ventilation is also fine.

Then I thought it should be a PSU related issue, somehow the psu got old and lost some horsepwer. Problem with that argument is that it never fails on any other graphics intensive applications, just eve.

I tested memory with mem test, passed with no problems.
Checked dxdiag, all good. Then I started the Log server, waiting to catch any weird messages. But because the pc shuts down , and i mean like a complete shutdown, like having a power shortage, the log server never produced repeatable data/results. The only message that caught my attention was a spam line starting with OnLSC waiting to join channels. But that one has stopped appearing.

The kicker is, that sometimes eve runs fine, even with 2 or 3 clients, for a couple of days. And then suddenly, it keeps on failing with only 1, repeatedly.

I have petitioned this to CCP but due to the fact that I could never submit solid data given the nature of the problem, I was wondering whether any of you had any similar problems.
