MY Question is: If this char was yours and you wanted to produce the most iskies with him as an alt how would you go about it?

  • I am returning after an almost two year hiatus .. before I left I had a vision of an industry type alt that would help supplement my isk production ... so I bought this guy

no PW

  • now I've returned and to be honest I really didn't have time to figure out how to best utilize this guy even before I left

  • so what I've found as I returned is a useful tool (imo) but I have no idea how to best use him

just looking for some help from you moguls of industry and science .. any advice is gladly accepted

p.s. I have an alt on my second account for hauling and trading .. if that helps your thought process

set up PI colonies to gain some ISK

use isk to produce T1 and T2 things

use IPH (There is a thread somewhere on the first page of this subforum) to find out what to build

I wasn't trying to mooch your most secret trade secrets .. I was just asking .. if this char was an alt of yours how would you utilize it .. making things really doesn't point me n any kind of direction

I dunno . maybe I am asking to much or maybe it came across as some kind of charity plea .. if so my bad honestly wasn't my intention

i would skip the PI stuff since i already have enough money to invest, but that's it.

If it was my alt:

If I or my corp has industrial pos set up in okish distance from Jita -> T2 production, which items I'd have to make calculations and check. Drones are always profitable to start with while checking for something else.

If not, if I had more than 3b cash -> I'd train all trading skills to 4 and eventually 5 and go station trading to one of the hubs, not jita.

If neither above, I'd setup PI, train my pi skills to 4 and eventually 5. Start producing whatever is valuable atm. and has the planets in my chosen location. Then maybe put buy orders for stuff in starting mission areas for items which new players get from tutorial missions and move those to Jita and sell for quick profit. This would require learning a few trading skills, but that's ok as I'd eventually plan to go to station trading.

This guy is a builder - basically any T2 product in the game. He can also build capital components and ships. I'm sure there are corporations in null who would be happy to have him on board with those ship building skills. He also has awesome skills for research and copying blueprints.

Science skills aren't good enough for invention - you want level 4 across the board for reasonable results. This is probably the way to go if you want to invest in additional training.

Thanks .. this is the kind of insight I was seeking .. wasn't really sure what this guy is capable of or what he is trained for .. let alone what would be the most efficient etc .. very much appreciated

The guy has building skills currently, however the question was ' to produce the most iskies'.
Imo if you don't have access to pos currently and/or don't have other builders yourself the answer to make most isk is trading.
