What about the other $90 odd thousand?

I wouldn't spend 100 grand on a car, I've driven and worked on many that cost that much, and more, and tbh there's no way in hell I'd own one.

I'd import something from a warm climate, preferably Japanese or European that was produced between 1960 and 1985, that will appreciate in value and that I can fix when it breaks, the rest would get used to pay off a goodly chunk of the mortgage.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

If it had to be a new car & I had to spend all/most....

- Jaguar F-Type R coupe
or
- Ford Mustang GT350R
or
-Porsche Cayman GT4

If I could spend part on a new car & spend the rest on an existing...

- Ford Focus RS
- Then spend the rest restoring/modifying my Escort RS (cause 400hp & a sequential gearbox sound like a solid plan....right?) Lol

Lotus Evora.

Maserati Gran Turismo.

Jaguar XF maybe.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Had this (2013, fully loaded including ceramics): https://www.google.com/search?q=audi+rs5&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari and loved it for 2 great years.

Would buy this next: https://www.google.com/search?q=jaguar+ftypevr&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#hl=en-us&q=jaguar+f-type+r - IMHO the best looking coupe mass-produced in the world today

Yeah those Jag coupes are ridiculous. Pictures don't do them justice.

Personally a fan of the Quatroporte. With chauffeur, since I don't like driving. Lol

Jaguar would be next, though, and they would fit better in the 100K budget (mass production haves its advantages vs handcrafting).

Video doesn't do the noise justice either, they sound epic.

Tesla Model S P85D with as many options as I could fit in under 100k. Probably all of them aside from the Ludicrous Speed upgrade.

If you think you've won, think again.

Corvette Z06:

640 Hp as it is, and I dare not imagine if a ZR1 version is made......But bang for the buck and then some at 79k.

Though if you have a family to carry around, and still want to have fun then there's the dodge charger SRT hellcat:

707 HP of fury, which is only unlocked when using the Red key.......63k fully loaded, so quite a bit of spare change left over which will come in handy for the crazy amount of fuel it'll burn when pushed, and the same goes for tire wear as well....LOL

I'd buy whatever had the highest resale value, turn around and resell it, take the profits and invest them in my game development. ;)

Excelling in all things terrible.

Bought a BMW Z8 back in 2001 for £80k. Sold it in 2013 for £80k. Fantastic 'free' car (although the tyres, fuel, servicing, insurance over that time cost a pretty penny). These days I wouldn't do it. I would probably lease something for a year and put the rest of the money to work. The difference being that I now have kids and I didn't before :) I tested a Tesler Roadster on the TT track (road) when I lived on the Isle of man but honestly I love the V8 sound and feel too much. I would probably buy a vintage Dodge Charger and put the remaining money towards the fuel costs!!!

An Icon Derelict. Basically new and reliable everything and an old body. New cars drive better, old cars look better - best of bost worlds.
