Coming Fleetwarp Change a Nerf to Suicide Ganking?

Some of the things I've been hearing about the (now delayed) fleetwarp changes concern me. At first, it seemed that it was being reworked so that your FC couldn't just warp you around everywhere, but everything would functionally be the same, but after reading a little more about it, I have questions.

As a humble suicide ganker, I only have about 12 seconds to execute a gank, and I therefore need to be able to land fairly close to my target, since I don't really have time to close range.

My question is, when this change eventually hits, will it turn out to be a de facto nerf to suicide ganking?

Also, will solo ganking with just one account still be viable? That is, bookmarking a target with a scout alt, then logging and switching to the ganker, and still landing at about 2 kilometers from the target?

Thanks folks.

Fleet warps to the scanner who is at zero on the target, no change.

in a gank fleet the scout can always land on top of the target and the fleet can then warp to the scout. afaik that has pretty much always worked. My probe alt used to always have a point, not sure if that is just old, I don't remember right, or I was doing it wrong.

I think it depends on how you operate solo. with a corp bookmark that should still work.

I should probably go read the changes in detail sometime.

Will it effect dbrb's ability to catch anything that is awake?

What fleet warp changes? We do not yet know what the revised changes will be.

looks like they are not able to implement the fleet bookmarks so they droped the change. the (source)Code always wins! ALWAYS!

the second part of your question has nothing to do with fleet warp changed. as its just you warping to a corp bm.

if you had more then 1 ship, each ship would of had to warp tot he bm themselves.

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!

If CCP want to incentivize (is that a word?) us not to warp fleets on top of people, hows about an alert that there's a fleet warping to your location pops-ups up too all people at the 'destination' ?

You can still fleet warp, but if that's too someone, you probably wont catch them.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

It is, or better said was, probably a change meant to make it hard for fleets to warp away (to a safe bookmark) from engagements. As far as I know it was supposed to be implemented in the last August patch but it got dropped for some reason. I don't see how it would affect suicide ganking tho', because warp to member is still an option so instead of warping fleet to target, warp fleet to inconspicuous scout venture on target or warp fleet to cloaked scout at 3k away from target.

That would cater to the risk averse crowd a bit too much I think.

So, two rather large palmetto bugs are sitting on my kitchen counter. I raised my massive bug sledge hammer and came down hard on one, the other flew off! Was the first a brave soul worthy of respect, and the second a lowly risk-averse game messer upper? You decide...unless you already have.

There just isn't anything that can be said!

OP is a prime example of how CODE and their fierce warriors came to be: they have to be spoon-fed the game mechanics & tactics that are required for their... craft, on their own they couldn't add 2 and 2 together. Kinda like most fierce PVPers from the huge coalitions really, clueless and have to be told everything 17 times and when they finally adopt it (it probably needed guides with MLP pictures to sink in) THEN they act as if they invented it themselves.

Nah, just pointing out the obvious. It's funny that 2 people from both groups in question replied to it. So how many brony guides did it require for you to learn something basic?
