The powers that be in the Empire are foolish if they think giving that narcissist any more power will result in a thing good. That man deserves nothing but a death that is long overdue. I sincerely hope for the whole of New Eden that a different heir wins.

Heresy.

What is?

You don't need me to answer that question.

Pardon my outsider's notions, but I was under the impression that the Theology Council determines what is heresy...? And that they specifically decreed this not to be so?

The Shathol'Syn is likely to have been a progressive and liberal perversion of the Tradition.

Originally, I suspect, the rite involved the sacrifice of the losers' slaves, not the suicide of the losers themselves. As I have elsewhere explained, the liberals and progressives have been slowly altering Scripture throughout the ages, removing references to blood sacrifice and replacing them with instances of self-sacrifice. The Shathol'Syn is one more example of this.

Many months ago... to all those critics that gave me a hard time about the possibility I stated that the Khanid families could return, and the King could be an heir, I just have this grown up responsible adult thing to say to you...

niner niner NINER, na na NA NA na!

Thank you.

P.S. And... Welcome back. I hold the Khanid in high esteem as you still maintain the sacred (unmodified) traditional Amarr texts. Welcome back my friends.

I hope you didn't hurt your arm patting yourself on the back. Your paper had absolutely nothing to do with this and the topic has been the subject of discussion long before you tried to interject yourself into matters that are far above your head.

Yes, It's been going on for 300 years. But always with love. (which sometimes included the tough love of lasers and tackle)

Was what I've done beyond my personal pay grade? Perhaps. However, remember that I was not acting in my name alone.
I was put forward by my family, Holders within our Glorious Empire, to act at this time.

And who said anything about a "full union" with the Empire? King Khanid's standings as an Heir aside, Khanid's legal sovereignty has not changed one iota. You'll notice our trade agreements with State corporations, the Empire and CONCORD are still valid, yes?

I have no clue why you have this perception that such authority was never challenged. What was asked if the Khanid wanted to step up into their full glory as Heirs, and if so what were things to consider. And if they didn't want to step up, then nothing had to change.

You really think they are progressive? They are going to have their little song and dance. It won't change much of anything. It doesn't matter. We will still have our sacred rituals. Sani Sabik will still be here when the empire is no more than an ancient fashion statement.

God knows Blooder fashion won't survive.

I like to see King Khanid be the Emperor.

Only because I love Vengeances and Retributions and all the Khanid ships.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

While not speaking either for or against the ritual of Shathol'Syn, it is notable that it was introduced specifically to avoid the exact thing that Garkeh Khanid caused when he decided not to follow it.

Looking at the applications being sent to each house, I can only say that House Khanid is blessed to have such a depth of skill and support on display.
