It still doesn't make sense that the zealot is slower than the omen by a significant amount. I mean that just kills the ship for me. Why would I pay 150 mil for one when a omen is at a significant advantage in terms of speed and agility, making it a better nano kiter? It would be like if the vagabond was 300 ms slower than a stabber. It doesn't make sense. The idea that its a "fleet ship" doesn't justify this poor ship design . the zealot should be equal to the omen in speed. It would still be significantly slower than the ONI so it wouldn't be OP. But right now it's slower than the legion. It ain't right

What's the point of flying a Zealot instead of a NOmen ?

DPS is higher but it's so slow ....

No reason to use a zealot in small gangs over the nomen. Nomen is fast, has a drone bay which means u can actually solo in it. Zealot really needs another mid for a web, or a small drone bay.

Or another 9 or so fleetmates, it's not a small gang ship.

That's the thing though, it's no longer a fleet ship either. Zealot fleets are old school counters to BS fleets that couldn't track them when they were up close. Nowadays there are so many better options for heavy tanked small sig cruisers that the Zealot has fallen by the wayside. Sure you might see one here and there but it's suboptimal in any role you put it in IMO.

There are many ships that are seemingly arbitrarily slow. For example a Corax is as slow as a 1600 plate Maller. It's a sign that CCP just hates them.

The zealot doesn't need cap boosters just for guns to keep firing. It also got a way superior sigtank while mwd'ing. It got great sensors so it doesn't falter to a single damp like an Omen does. It got around twice the dps at same ranges. The resist profile amplifies remote reps significantly.
