Am the only one crazy enough to build a character...run through a couple of the tutorials...then decide I don't like something about it...wipe it...start over...and then repeat the process again...and again...and again?

The logical part of my brain says stop, it doesn't matter. Just move forward. But nooo, I can't listen to it.

This one I think may make it.....for a while at least.

But the others...yeah, they are already on the chopping block. Lol

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

I've redone a couple characters immediately after creating them, but only because I didn't like their names or their faces after all. But with the face re-customization that CCP added a while ago, it's no longer necessary.

Keep in mind that you'll never have a perfect or pristine character. Someone should put a bounty on you to prove that point. But in any case, you may lose sec standing due to a mistake, you may get bounties, say the wrong thing on the forums and be ridiculed, who knows. It's better to treat your character like you (should) treat your ships - just a means for you to get fun out of this game... ultimately just a tool for achieving enjoyment.

A lot of people have just one account with one character, but a lot of people have 3-4 accounts with 4-8-12 characters. The overall average for the entire playerbase is slightly under 2.

Well, this was my first character. I fudged up its name by not making it capital and I just used a random second name. Unfortunately there is no way to change and I have invested way too much time in this character to reroll.

In a way, I love this character now with all its imperfections. Like on real life, you have to be stuck with some your life decisions. So it has that charm to me now. If that makes any sense.

I've spent nearly no time creating any of my characters and never felt a need to reroll. The only one regret I ever had was naming this character something that no one can pronounce. I never thought it would matter on a forum but I guess people speak in their heads when they read.

Anyway I guess we're all different. As my grandmother says "to each his own". So what ever floats your boat. Play your game your way, have fun and fly it like you stole it from your ex-wife.

Yeah, it's been the names that bugged me the most...appearances I've been fine with. Lol

You could always play EVE as a permadeath non capsule pilot and wipe your character any time it dies.

If it bothers you I believe you can petition to have the capitalization corrected in your name. Smile

I believe capitalization is the only form of name alteration they'll allow, at least so I'm told by a friend who petitioned to have his capitalization corrected and was granted it.

I must admit to keeping one of my alt slots free for the sole purpose of mucking around with the character creator; this one took 30 minutes to create and then another 60 minutes playing around until I got the "WTF did I just see?" expression right.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
