problem with calculating my reprocessing efficiency

Wish I could include the screengrab here, but my issue is this:

In the Reprocessing Plant window, there's a little "68.3%" number which has no tooltip, but I assume that's the reprocessing efficiency. This is confirmed when I mouse-over some of my ore and a huge tooltip comes up with all the numbers.

It says "Yield: 68.3%". Then it says -

"Detailed yield:
50% base yield
x1.15 bonus from Reprocessing
x 1.1 bonus from Reprocessing Efficiency
x1.08 bonus from Kernite Processing
x1.04 bonus from Zainou 'Beancounter' Reprocessing RX-804
x1.0 reduction from station owner tax"

Trouble is, these numbers combine to form 71.04%... not 68.3%. It's as if it is printing the bonus for the implant, but not actually using it in the math.

Any ideas why it is still using 68.3% ?

Maths has been toast on that window for over a year. Last I heard, it didn't take the implant into consideration for the maths, but did for the actual reprocessing.

I hope you are right, thanks :)

Yeah it uses the implant in minerals returned calculation, but just a display bug there.

And it's math, not maths (mathematics is singular, not plural) P

In British English, and pretty much all other English speaking countries other then 'Murica and Canada, it's "maths".

Follow me on Twitter for literally no good reason @TheUltim8Evil

I speak English, not American. Blink

So, by your own logic, it should be mathematic, not mathematics?

Nope, when something has an s on the end but isn't plural, an abbreviation of the word does not have the s on the end either.

Here's some Brits explaining why maths is wrong P

Speech Big smile

You speak American correctly, I didn't contest that. In the UK and just about all other English-speaking places, it's maths and to use the word without the 's' would be an error.

Oh, and other thing. If you look into the etymology of the word, Mathematics is a plural form of the obsolete mathematic and is treated as either singular and plural depending on it's context.
Singular - "I studied mathematics recently"
Plural - "The mathematics of relativity"

Hehe, touche on the speech xD

And I believe you mean mathematica, as in the Greek noun, not mathematic, as in the Greek verb. Yes, the a does make it plural in Greek, but it also converts the verb into a noun. Mathematics is singular, however it can be made plural by the words around it. Kind of like how deer is singular, but based on the words around it it can be made plural. Deer in and of itself is singular, same with mathematics.

And most of the world outside the U.S. doesn't use the Oxford comma, but that doesn't mean they are correct, 'Merican's know how speek Engrish bestest Lol

Back on topic, as stated, it is a UI bug. It doesnt show the implant bonus, but it does in fact give you the extra minerals from the implant when you reprocess. :D
