I first started EVE...8ish years ago. Wanted to get away from WoW, expansions kept on coming out and I didn't like grinding for the best gear only to be replaced by vendor trash months later...

EVE was that answer. The "Even a **** ship only gets better with age" philosophy...

At first I played with a few IRL friends in a close knit industrial Corp. When a Battleship was good for mining!...******* mined in a Rokh! Until I squeezed into a Hulk. We had a goal, the Orca! How we mined for hours on end, got the materials, got the blueprints, built the ******* thing ourselves! I still personally use that exact Orca, been dragged into and out of Nullsec and Wormhole space. Used it for PVP and PVE, along with massive hauling.

Shortly after a wardec broke up our Corp/****** "Alliance" I got into PVP, mainly Faction Warfare. This was the time where I'd be excited to finish work. Rush home and play for hours on end. Get drunk with Corpies, and do dumb ****! One night me and a Guy were drunk and thought it was a good idea to jump, I think it was a PL gang in Tama....their whole fleet, and 2 **** fit bombers!

Learning PVP was fun, ****** around with **** fit everything... I actually thought it was a good idea to fit Stabs on a Blackbird! The explosion that followed proved otherwise.

Spent 2 years in FW until I moved on, for several reasons. I moved into Nullsec, bounced around a few Alliances. Eventually settled into TNT. Had a hand in all the front page battles. The ones that made headlines, being a F1 monkey got boring as ****, "elite PVP"

Decided to gaze upon the forums and noticed IRL meetups, started going to those, met a few friends, drank alot of beer, now co-host the meetups!

Sold an alt for 20 billion, funded my RvB life. I have some being **** laying around. Bought a massive stockpile of BPOs. Threw up a highsec POS and did Indy Stuffs while blowing **** up! Good business there, blow up assholes and restock their local markets. It was a win-win for me!

This is when I threw my hat into the politics aspect, ran for CSM. Got a few hundred votes, beat Riverini, so OP success! Around this time I joined RvBs Alliance Tournament team. Did that a few times, along with any other player run tournament I could get my hands on.

Then, things got boring. Nothing new or exciting came out.
IRL friends started leaving...
A few scandals here and there...
Met a few Devs...

...life just got really boring in EVE!

...It just lost my interest!

I left RvB and decided to try to get into FW again, I just don't have that EVE itch anymore! If I log in, I just minimize the client and do something else!

I partially blame CCP recently for this. The lack of *NEW* along side "8 years, I basically done everything, I can fly literally everything, I own everything (except Supers.)

If I get more excited killing Kerbals on failed re-entry attempts, going to work, talking to the in-laws, then I believe it's time to move on...

If exciting and awesome start to come out, then I'll make a return.

In the meantime, best of luck to the friends I met and the targets. I blew up!

...to the WH Corps I ripped off, the miners I ganked (one even raged and broke his laptop,) Riverini, thanks for the billions of ISK for fake Intel. But, you got ad revenue from. And countless other assholes I managed to **** off. I'm sorry! (kinda, sorta...actually no I'm not. But I still feel a little bit bad.)

...finally CCP, Dust sucks, fix and move to PS4. Don't force Valkyre to be VR only, that's a **** move.

To the rest of you, blow up that ******* to your right!

Hey! You're in luck! I'm accepting contracts for subcap ships, especially navy and pirate faction ships, though I'll accept other things as well, even fitted ships. No need to just let it rot, I'm boring enough to have use for it in this boring game for years. Game was boring on day one, still boring, and it'll be boring tomorrow where I'll still be playing in boredom. My life is too exciting, boring is nice Smile

I'm in it for the money

It sucks to see you go. I remember a lot of my Prime times in EVE And have been around for nearly a decade.

When I w as brought into ISD It rekindled my desire to help, and PLAY the game. While you may not have had the luxury of having the same choice as I, there is still many a reason for one to enjoy the ever changing sandbox that is EVE. You just got too allow yourself to look for the fun that is there.

Fly safe!... You'll be back.

another person unwilling to engage in activities and create their own interesting operations. such persons should not be missed or thought about. it seems most grant importance to things that do not matter, all while broken and unbalanced things exist in a dark corner that nobody ever looks at.

here we are, discussing one player's departure towards adventures that take place elsewhere. is it really so important as to not spark discussions about what can be made better? how to fix the things that so many lose interest in?

priorities seem to be in a mess in this environment that is the triangle of CCP, EVE Online and the community that surrounds them.

This is the worst "I'm leaving" thread I've seen in a LONG time. Too many asterisks, way too many exclamation points and on top of it, you blame CCP for your lack of interest.

Biomass.
