Could we have a way to start multi buy from clipboard? Like a simple quantity / tab / type format?

This is an AWESOME feature!! Thank you!

Quick question: When selecting items to drag from the market window, would it be possible to implement the ability to highlight / select multiple items at once?

i.e. I'm selecting standard heavy missile ammo, I hold down the ctrl key and select all 4 and drag them over to the multi buy window vs. 1 at a time?

Or perhaps I hold down the shift key to select all 4 to drag over?

Soo, last i looked, the "best price" listed by the market screen...usually isn't even close. Sometimes that listing is 500% higher than the actual best price. As it appears there are some people who have figured out what the exact formula is that your system uses to pick which order is the "best price", and manage to sell items at stupid profits, if you institute this using that same not-right formula, it would cause some headache, and also rejoicing from the few that have figured out how to have sell orders up for 5x market value, yet still be listed as the "best price in region" by the market screen.

CCP, don't believe me...try it out, browse the market for things, note the "best price" value, then click "show details" and note how those values are not the same.

Awesome! I waited for this quite long.

One of the features that both PvPers and industrialists will be VERY happy about. :-)

the multibuy window is wonderful to use. if this is an appropriate place to give some suggestions for it then here are some:

1. it would be awesome to give the ability to drag in saved fits to the window to add in all the items from it.
2. fits from a kill/loss mail as well to be dragged in and have items added in.
3. saved fits that are in the market "quickbar" when they're put into the folder there also have items added by dragging them into the window.

pretty much just add functionality to drag fits into it is what i'm saying. that's the one thing i can find right now that would be useful, otherwise it's pretty good so far.

if this isn't an appropriate place to put this suggestion i'll move it to wherever is.

as a market trader it is a really nice feature... smooth to use and easy to find... kinda intuitive. for a guy who does a lot of this... I think it is a real winner!! ... but can you get the columns to auto adjust so that the items don't ALWAYS get cut off? Be nice if you would do the same thing to the multi- sell columns as well.

I also like the multi fits but many will find the layout confusing.

Suggestion : prefill buy order volume but do not otherwise multiply them. That is If I increase the Number of orders, I increase or decrease the number of units ordered, possibly showing underneath the total required fit

So... I go looking for an oracle loss zkillboard.com/kill/49131350/#

Screenshot of multibuy www.dropbox.com/s/vqfy200yvl7rfrh/Screenshot%202015-09-19%2016.13.33.png?dl=0

Assume I think I want to buy 5 of these fit, and I have in my hanger 10 mega pulse laser II, so only want to buy 30 rather than the 40 shown. No way to do this with the current multi buy screen. I would need work out that I only should buy 3 fits of lasers, then come back and buy 6 more individually.

Instead an alternative layout might be.
As the user increases the number of orders, increase both the number to be purchased and number required for fit.
As the user decreases the number of orders, decrease both the Number to be purchased (to a minimum of zero) and number required for fit.

............................................................................................................... buy count
item ................... Number to be purchased ...............unit value ...............total value
...............................(Number required for fit )

eg from the fit above (prices from singularity)
Medium Hyperspataial velocity optimiser ..... 5 .......................100 ................ 500
..................................................................... (5)
.
.
.
Heat Sink II .................................................15..........................100 ..............1500
.....................................................................(15)
.
.
.
Mega pulse Laser II ...................................40 ..........................100...............4000
....................................................................(40)

Now, the user overwrites the number to be purchased to 30 so that pair of lines becomes
Mega pulse Laser II ...................................30 ..........................100...............3000
....................................................................(40)

Finally the user realises they would spent too much, and really only needs 3 fits after all. Reducing the fits from 5 to 3 reduces mega pulse laser II : number to be purchased and number required for fit by 16
Mega pulse Laser II ...................................14 ..........................100...............3000
....................................................................(24)

Of course some boundary validation is needed in case the user then decides to reduce the number of orders significantly. In keeping with the apparent defaults of the multi buy screen, reducing it to 1 may be suitable.

Alternatively, just overwrite the number to be purchased every time the number of orders change (with or without warning).

And I also endorse adding hulls onto the multi buy from a fitting screen.

congrats for idea :) and big thanks for it :)
& three small thingys

it is possible to add option to add all item from market quickbar folder and all folders that are inside this folder to multibuy window, by drag folder from market quickbar to multibuy window? :)

it is possible to add option to right click at folder inside market quickbar and get option "buy all" wich open multibuy window and add all items from this folder and folders inside?

when you right click at folder inside market quickbar normaly you get "delete folder" option and couple more option, this menu is currently missing at sisi

once more big thanks :)

It's great that you're working on this, when this is finished it will be a great quality of life upgrade.

Things that worked better than expected:
  • I was going to say that buying from quickbar folders is not very useful because of the lack of quantities, but apparently you have an undocumented feature that already precisely matches how I store fits in the quickbar!? Setting "additional text" (a notes field) on the quickbar item to a quantity works. Good job, but why didn't you mention it? Big smile
  • Fulfilling from multiple sell orders works as expected (taking the highest price of the N lowest sell orders which cumulatively fulfil your order), good job!
  • No bugs with buying multiples of a fit or quickbar folder and the display showing the total separately from the unit order size is perfect.

Quibbles and suggestions:
  • Pressing enter on the regional average price warning defaults to not buying rather than buying, I think most people would prefer this reversed.
  • Industry materials please.
  • Optionally subtract items already on the hangar floor (or better, a user specified location) from the final order please.
  • Clipboard support please. I don't think anyone cares what the format is, we're willing to write our tools to fit your format.
  • I know this is going against the intent of the feature a little buuuuuuuuuuuuut.... is there really any reason people shouldn't have this same convenience for making multiple buy orders? Here's my use scenario: I have a stockpile of fittings in Jita which I distribute to stations where the fits are assembled. I have a script which does an API pull to give me shopping lists of what to move to assembly stations and what I need to restock on. Some items I restock from sell orders, others are items that nobody really makes sell orders for, they're just routinely dumped to buy orders. I would like to be able to make my buy orders without all the tedious clicking in addition to buying from sell orders without the tedious clicking.

It has been mentioned before but I would love a multi buy from clipboard. Especially as I run a unofficial app for my alliance to buy and build out of game contracts for pilots. It would be amazing just to have them copy the order to their clipboard and buy from that.

Just a simple text import that the system would read, like fits but would only need to be a [ItemName] , [Quantity] instead of everything a fit needs in the EFT format.

Well, some of what I write was already written in a way but I think that "voting" issues give a perspective so I will say all that I found.

Multibuy per se works fine besides some issues on the control you have over the setup. But I guess this is by design.

When you reach the limit of things you can list in the size of the multi buy window you using, you cannot drop anymore itens as when you drop them in a space that is occupied, the item is not added.

On using it with the fit manager, it is pretty much amazing. Buying works fine, the fit manager which drops the ball in the sense that it doesnt save the scripts loaded to modules so the multibuy do not buy them. Since charges are saved, I guess scripts could be too.

Is it possible to extend the range of multi-buy to X number of jumps and then have it automatically set waypoints to the stations where items were bought? Or maybe just create a new note with a list of links to the stations where items were bought and what was bought at those stations; sort of like a receipt. It looks like currently it will only work for one station in system at a time.

Actually the way that it works is it only saves charges which are in your cargo, this DOES include scripts. Anything loaded into modules, be it ammo or scripts, is not saved. If you want to save a fit, remove all charges from your modules first.

I really like this tool. My fit included some items not available for purchase; officer modules. I did not see a way to add or modify the shopping list within the multi-buy tool. It might be nice to modify the list and have it save in the fitting window. That's my only tiny suggestion for an otherwise beautiful tool. Thank you for thinking of this!

Suggestion:

Add checkboxes to the fit so you can exclude modules and hull you already have a ton of.

Change the button text to "Buy Selected"

Came by to give some feedback. Tested this out by importing a fitting, then buying multiple copies of that fit.

Works well. Great feature.

Nothing more to say :)

At first blush, Multi-buy seems to favor aggressors and the unprepared: those who run out of resources during an action far from home... but if you are the player who is an industrial target, a miner or manufacturer, Multi-buy compensates you locally, since the casualties will be paying into your system market for the re-fit. So I guess Multi-buy benefits and irritates both sides.
