I don't read all the dev blogs, but I have heard no news about changing anything mining related in the near future. Maybe some far off stuff for the rorq and boosting, but that was a couple years ago.

Is that a doomy-gloomy type of response I see there Tau?

IDK, I think my rorq is a thing of great beauty … altho I am still a little concerned at the presence of some random dood’s clone in the vat.

I still find mining a relatively relaxing way to make a few isk, mainly via the subsequent manufacturing that I do. I run a small gang of miners, and sometimes look at the is-boxers’ huge fleets with awe and jealousy … along with the hundreds of millions of units of ore they place on the market very regularly. All the same the income is not too terribad at the moment and the activity is kinda therapeutic and drama-free.

Mining now also plays a direct role in nullsec sovereignty mechanisms. It’s a small role but by polishing ‘the index’ we help improve the defensibility of our systems. If only that contribution could be API-measured more directly.
