Make Eve Online a free to play game:

if you are "unsubscribed"
- you can use only one account per IP adress / MAC adress
- training of skills is paused
- in case of higher numbers of players trying to log in to servers, "unsubscribed" accounts get kicked
- make unsubscribed players unable to enter systems with more then 200 people in them (trade hubs, fleet fights...)

if you are subscribed - business as per usual

Treating Unsubbed players like second class citizens is not the way to go. If free to play is the only way Eve survives the next ten years then so be it. But unsubbed players should not be **** on and left out in the rain. That's not how you treat your content generators.

Everyone gets "15" attributes worth of train time one one char at all times. A sub gets you double that. Additional train queues are available for purchase and will get the train speed of your account level. 15 for free or 30 for licensed players.

A micro transaction model for train speed on x number of characters as well as clothes and skins might work for Eve. But I doubt it would be viable until a lot of archaic systems are remade to improve the NPE.

Thats is indeed interesting, but you need to provide an incentive for players to sub. Say "0" attributes to unsubbed players, but they can still log. and all bounties get halved. Stay unsubbed and you can no longer plug implants.

+1 to the whole idea

Great idea, using a proxy server and logging in 20 Covert Cyno AFK alts in your system.

Or logging in 20 bumpers to join you while mining in the ice belt...

And so on....

As a 4 year old player with only this account, I take great offense...

as a 4 year old you should have somewhere in the 90+ mil skill points if you skilled all the time

so imagine if you didnt have to pay the game anymore and still are able to play it

even more so, you could use the RL money to buy plexes and sell them on the market - which would be closer to the chinese version where the plex is 3-4 bil

No.

Destination SkillQueue:- It's like assuming the Lions will ignore you in the Savannah, if you're small, fat and look helpless.

A Plan B? Well, maybe you want to play the game then? Or some kind of change in attitude of the players towards the players and the game? Maybe some more player effort towards the game in organizing things?

Your suggestions, on the other hand, do absolutely nothing to help the game grow and instead give a lot of reasons why F2P P2W is a terrible system.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

it's more a PAY TO SAVE TIME then a pay to win

we should pay to support the game (CCP)

we should PLAY to support the community (help the game to grow)

With this suggestion, you do not support the community. With this suggestion, you do not support the game. You do neither.

content generation is not helping the community? lol mate

the servers would spike so hard from all the vets coming back to play

how about a kickstarter to buy out Eve Online from CCP Games?

So at eve vegas, eve fest, etc the only person to play eve is the first to login after DT? Server will deny a whole hotel full of eve nerds after that?

house where 2 residents (2 different actual people) play locked out too.

Uh no.

Definitely a nullsec alt

Nope

Any kind of pre-trained alt that doesn't need further training (thinking Capital/Super alts) coupled with the use of web proxies means you're just rewarding those that have been playing the longest with free characters to use. Fully formed farming alts will send isk inflation through the roof.

but what would I know, I'm just a salvager

What content are you talking about (especially in combination with your hard spiking server)? The missions that you get kicked out when too many people are in a system? Your intense fight on a gate or in a belt when people come into the system or log in and you get kicked from the server? The market activity that you cannot participate in or get kicked out when privileged people log in? PVP in general where you must subscribe in order to not get kicked out and die when the server goes above 30k (arbitrary number) people? PVE with the same, as you do not want to go DC in the middle of a DED Blockade with your Marauder Bastioned or when neutrals come into system. That is the content that makes people join the game in troves?

Your logic is impeccable. And how subscriptions prevent content creation is not clear either.

As a 4 year old character with 91m sp, I would quit if eve went F2P.
I have played F2P games in the past, they suck.

yeah.... No... F2P accounts would be bad for so many reasons.

As much as I'd like to save money on a few of my accounts, F2P would be really really bad.

Thank you no F2P isn't, in reality it is free to be bombarded by advertising and leads inevitably to Pay2Win store items and then a downward quality spiral and extinction.

Not supported.
