Distinguishing BPO from BPC?

Hello. I'm having trouble telling the difference between BPO's and BPC's. I'm looking around on the market and I see a lot of blueprints for sale, however none of them say if it's an original or a copy.

I've asked ingame with contradictory answers. Some say there'll be some green text that indicates it's an original. Others have stated that the green text is indicative of a copy. Nobody ingame really seems to know for sure. What is clear is that there isn't any sort of green text on any of the blueprints in the market to indicate either or.

Little help please?

If you're in the actual Market, I think the only blueprints for sale are BPOs.

When you're looking at Item Exchange contracts, they can be either BPOs or BPCs. To determine which, first right click on the contract and click View Contract. Once the contract is open, click the blue circle with the "i" inside of it next to the blueprint name. At the top of the screen that opens up, make sure the Attributes tab is the visible tab. Underneath that, it will indicate if it is a copy or an original. Original says Original Blueprint (with the word Original in green). Copy will say Blueprint Copy in the standard color.

Also, another way to tell the difference is clicking on the Bill of Materials tab. If I recall correctly, BPOs have an invention tab, BPCs do not.

Thanks for the calrification, removing incorrect assumptions.

As said all the blueprints on the market are originals. BPOs and BPCs are sold on contracts and the difference should be clearly visible there. They are colored differently and the type is mentioned in brackets and you can always check info on the item to get more details on the item.

The green text on a BPO they refer to can be seen in the attributes tab when you click show info on a BPO you have. It's basicly just the words "original blueprint" and the word original is colored in green. It won't help you though, since it's not shown when you do show info on a market blueprint. At least that's the way it works for me.

Invention tab is on every BPO and BPC which can be used in inventing something. There are just a lot of item BPCs around that can't be used in invention.

All blueprints on the market are originals. You can only find copies (BPC) on contracts.

If you get a research quote on a BPO, it becomes un-packaged and can never be resold on the market.

Things to look for on a BPC:

* Copies always have a limited Licensed Production Runs Remaining.

Things to look for on a BPO:

* Attributes:
Original Blueprint [first line]
[Does not exist on market BPO until purchased]

* Attributes: General Information
Licensed Production Runs Remaining: Infinite
[Does not exist on market BPO until purchased]

* BPO are darker blue in colour than BPC.

If it's a contract, 99.9995% of the time, it's a BPC, and probably part of a scam. (Of course, that's contracts, for you.)
