Hey guys.

I have been looking at larger wormholes for some time now, and I just came across a black hole with great PI.

I know that the effects in a black hole ain't perfect for running sleepers with capitals [Revelation/Moros/Archon/Thanatos]. But would it work? or would it just be a pain in the ass and a wast of time and money too even try?

And no.. I'm not going too buy it for me and myselfs alone.

I lived in a C4 black hole for about 6 months. We found that this was doable with a carrier and 2 RR domis, or about 3-4 gank BS's and 2 logis (usually geddon/guardians). The effects are most noticeable for blaster boats where the nerf to tracking and falloff absolutely did us in pre-Crucible...post-Crucible megathrons or Hyperions would be doable.

The velocity bonus helps get your MWD BS into web range of the sleepers astonishingly quick; it also helps get your drones into range quick, which is why a carrier was viable for ratting. If you don't use the velocity bonus and short range guns on your BS, you are wasting your time because you just cop the penalty.

Doing the sites with T3's, the velocity bonus is of most help for AB sig tanking (1300m/s AB tengu ftw), and using missiles avoids most of the penalties which nerf guns. So an RR Tengu gang was very effective.

PVP wise we didn't really see much action where the effects came into play. One time a vaga and cynabal tried jumping us, using Barrage and MWD's. They instantly hit 38km orbit and we warped out with a hearty luls. Remember you are going to cop a SEVERE and CRIPPLING agility penalty...and with a 5.2km/s top speed on a Vaga or Cynabal which can't turn...luls.

Nanos are essential, as is midrange ammo, specifically Ti Sabot.

The speed of the sleepers doesn't matter too much for the MWD BS/web method, nor for RR Tengu gangs...but I wouldn't neccessarily want to comment on C5 Blackholes and cap escalations except to say that dreadnoughts will suffer in their guns big time. Might be best with a Phoenix, tbh.

Thanks for the replies guys!

The thing is that we want too escalate the sites with dreads.. and with that speed on the sleepers I think that it's going too be near impossible too hit them, even if you use a multi webbed Huginn or Rapier as support.

Looks like back holes ain't nothing for our corp.. its a shame too see that perfect PI go to waste though..
But I'm going too do what Jack Miton said... And stay the HELL away from back holes!
