This is my poetry entry for the writing contest sponsored by Lunarisse Aspenstar.

I affirm that the work is my own. For those of you not in the RP community, this is written from the perspective of my character.

Cross my soul
And spread it bare
Expose my heart
As so many have done before
Black
Irreparable
Incomplete
Barren of all love and hope
The ground is soft
Years of sediment covering
The place I lost
My singular meaning for life
Rip it open
Emotions spilling from its cavity
Never to be filled again
Black
Irreparable
Incomplete
Abuse me no longer
Bitter and cold
As the far reaches of the universe
Stolen lives and dreams
Black
Irreparable
Incomplete
Do we deserve
Love, hope, and dreams?
Or are we bound to a nameless existence
Caught in the wars and strife
Is there room?
Or are we cursed
Forever to dwell
Black
Irreparable
Incomplete

Are you a devil or an angel

Sent here from heaven or from hell?

Sweet temptress, I'm wrapped in your tangles

Can't find my way out of your spell
