Reduce afterburner activation time?

I was wondering if there a way to reduce the activation time of an afterburner? Through skills or modules, whatever. So I can cancel it sooner.

It's because I use an afterburner to enter warp faster. I'd fit a MWD if I could, but this is for a sigil.

Nope, skills increase it to make it use less cap. Get a Impel and fit a mwd instead =)

You're not the only one that finds this irritating at times. With good skills the AB cycle time is very long - I'd much prefer it was a fixed short cycle time and the bonus was to cap use, but hey, can't win 'em all.

ya whoever said cap usage or something to that effect for afterburner on assault frig is right on!! That was exactly what i was thinkng.

Its definitely one of those few skills that you don't want to train to 5.

Don't train Afterburner past lvl 1

While you're at it, add target painters and targeting computers to the "needs either a five second cycle or a way to cut the cycle short" feature.

I recently trained it to 5.

The idea was to give me a bit more overload time, since I use them in FW plexes so often.

No. But target painting skill should increase cycle time, and thus decrease cap usage.Lol

Reduce cycle time, skill for cap usage, same for MWD. Being able to toggle off modules with negative effects at the right time is very important.

/me wonders if boy genius there ever heard of mwd...

now just to explain why you should get it to at least lvl4 (since everyone has it at lvl3) if you fly frigate hulls.
with a small nos overheated you will be able to run web scram and ab 24/7 even if you are neuted to ****.
and 100mn tech3s.
and you can heat it for longer which was already said.

Train it to 5 so AHAC gangs can't warp out as fast when it all turns to poo.
