What would you do without responsibilities and without a pod?

I think, maybe, I would go looking for my siblings.

I'd take your question as an idea and sell it to The Scope.

I hear their reality show ratings have been on the decline lately.

I'd love to go back to that creaky old agri site I grew up in and shoot some hoops with whoever the next generation of poor farmers are. I hope my backboard is still hidden behind the industrial equipment.

After that... I'd probably find a bar and see how much my dating skills have dropped since I started using 'hey I'm a capsuleer' as a go-to pick up line.

Hmmm, I guess I'd do what I normally do when I have down time...... Run some BPO's, order a pizza, and watch corny Gallente horror holos..... maybe invite Kimmy over for pizza and corny horror holos, yeah, that would be fun....

A little trust goes a long way. The less you use, the further you'll go.

Usually beaches are somewhat low, and when you need to get high, you ascend mountains. Provided it isn't actually a water world with little to no land mass, where beaches are actually highest points.

Watch out to not be washed away by a wave. On water worlds they might be rather...huge.

What would I do without responsibilities and without a pod?

Probably decompose.

I'd do what I do most of the time those days.

I'd park my ship cloaked somewhere in the forsaken wormhole system I happen to be in, and go down to the fourth planet. Maybe with a companion to protect me, or alone.

A small modular cargo terminal I own sits on the plain near the large inner sea. I'd fly around or drive something without a cabin or canopy, as far as possible from the base. Take a walk in the forest, or climb a mountain. Observe the alien life. Or maybe go to the beach, surfing or diving. Something may try to kill me, but I really don't care, and if I kill it, I'll eat it instead. Though most local life forms taste like plastic or worse.

Then the night comes and the sky is filled with the faint ambient glow of the nebula. It is barely seen with naked eyes, but it is there. I listen to the clicks, howls and screeches in the alien bush and try to find New Eden. It takes a ship computer to find it from 1200 LY away, so I can't, but I know where it is.

I look at it, smile and say: "screw you".
I'd join Jade.

It's not so grand as traversing the vast and unexplored tracts of space but I would spend my time outdoors learning to Sun Surf or perhaps if I am lucky enough find a cliff face and do some Free Climbing.

Never ceases to amaze me how good it feels to sit at the top of a cliff you conquered relying on nothing but you own merits.

What fills the soul? Something that guides a lost child back to it's parents arms. Or waves that dye the shores of the heart gold. A blessed breath to nurture life in a land of wheat. Or the path the Sef descend drawn in ash. In the wake of fire.

Reminds me of when I took my Voluval. To get to the ritual site I, and the shaman who accompanied me, had to trek across the barely terraformed wasteland under the baking sun, under the cover of a superfine-dust storm, and the freak thunderstorms that inundates the entire terrain. After crossing that terrain we had to climb a mountain of jagged rocks.

All the while we had to battle the possibility of starvation, suffocation, dehydration and violence by wildlife (especially wild slaver hounds) and wannabe 'Cartel' bandits and their various modes of transportation.

24 hours only? I would get some friends over, drop some Blue Paradise, fly the Opus into orbit above Manarq VI, turn the antigrav off and consume a **** load of cryllisium. Not that I ever get the time to do that **** anymore. Cry

Unfortunately, the majority of Capsuleers probably consider the profession a means to avoid responsibility itself.

I'd like to take out a sailing boat on a nice temperate planet, I think. Just me, the sea, my boat, the strength of my back and sweat of my brow.

In a few moments you will have an experience that will seem completely real. It will be the result of your subconscious fears transformed to your conscious awareness.

I would like to have responsibilities... I mean, maybe I could feel a faint sense of purpose out of this...?

I can't say I find the prospect particularly appealing..... that being said I have somewhat of an affinity for hot climates. Deserts, tropical regions, and the like.

There are plenty of tropical islands on worlds controlled by the Amarr, aren't they? I believe the Amarr culture rather adores the sun.
