everyone understands your pain. the problem we ccp is when they see something becoming op and over powered when it's being used in large fleets for example slow cats 250+ carriers with sentries the nerf it (quite rightly of course) but they forget about the solo list or the small gang that it affects and to them the changes are significant especially if you have been training a while for them. nerfs and buffs are determined on how large fleets use ships.and not the individual and that's wrong to me and unfair

I’ve started playing this game when the mighty Drake BC was invented. I was impressed with the games-size and amount of possibilities that EVE had to offer. If I knew than what was CCP going to do with this game I would have never started. However I had no idea about the future events so I’ve started my adventure…

I was very excited, my adventure started as a highsec miner… After two weeks I got banned! Someone wrote a ticket that my characters are probably mining bots (I even had no idea that such thing exists). After sending lots of e-mails to CCP Support I’ve found out that they see no reason to unban me. Someone wrote to me on local chat and got no answer from me – it was the reason and a proof that I must be some kind of a bad bot! Finally I got my account unbanned – I just thought that I must have been some really bad misunderstanding – now I think that I should quit the game than and never come back.

My second idea for this game was to skill Tengu and start carrier as a mission runner. After six months my patience was rewarded – I finally had my super ship: Tengu with full missile skills. I was very impressed when I saw it killing all the rats and every mission was like a piece of cake. For the seven months old player it was really great thing. My happiness did not last long… CCP decided to nerf the missiles and Tengu itself! I was pissed off – it was like 90% annoyment factor! It was the second reason and sign to quit this game… But again I’ve decided to continue my adventure and skill a mighty carrier.

So I have skilled carriers and supercarriers for the next two years – to be able to use their full potential. After that time my happiness was undermined again… CCP decided to change the jump drive possibilities. I thought – OK, I will survive it. Then again they have decided to nerf the fighters and finally nerfed the carriers DPS. CCP claimed and still claims that supercapitals require balancing but still not yet… Sometime in a distant future (is it some kind of a bad joke?!?). It was the answer to many forum posts straight from CCP.

I’ve started thinking again about this whole game. Is it like there is a bunch of idiots working at CCP offices? You do not kill mobs in this game to level-up, you spend months on skilling to be better, faster, wiser and more dangerous. For all the things that CCP had nerfed, should give back or give some free skill points to each of victims that wasted lots of time on capital skills.

One of the interesting things about the fighters nerf (which not everyone knows of) is that fighters were planned to behave like usual drones. CCP did the change few hours before the patch deployment. They have simply removed whole code. The fighters nerf was created as a response to people crying about their OP-capabilities. I’m just wondering… Because lots of people do cry about tons of other things and CCP still ignores them. Example: cloaky campers demanding a payment to go away. For five years CCP did nothing about them – it looks like they just ignore that fact. Some other interesting things happened in July… Servers were down (again) and people were happy that CCP gave them 50k skillpoints – for almost 24 hours of offline servers, personally I do not think it was fair enough.

Promises of new player buildable stargates, walkable stations interiors etc… Sometimes we were able to see some mighty-vision during fanfests. We all heard about them years ago and not much really happened since then.

CCP and their financial troubles surely have impact on this game. But why they were unable to release the inefficient employees, which proved only stupid answers or ideas. I am sure that the EVE players society would approve such a drastic moves – with a hope to save this game, that the EVE universe will continue. Implementing a monthly patches was a bad move – I do not experience “wow” effect when they are deployed. They do not change that much and usually nerf old good things. It was better when we anticipated the new patch twice or even once per year. At least we were able to see the results of a hard work made by CCP employees.

I think we could all sum-up our current game state as: pay CCP lots of $$$, skill your dream-ship for the next three years and after the years spent on learning you will find out that it is useless – because during that time it was nefred five times! In my opinion CCP’s politic is to discourage old players, they should post on their page: 5 YEARS OLD ACCOUNTS – QUIT AND GO AWAY! Nowadays PvP consists usually of frigates, destroyers and cruisers (as capitals?). They could easily remove all bigger ships – erase everything above cruisers. Simplify the game? Sure let’s make a new Minesweeper or Pinball. Artificial new skills? Yes – let’s divide Battlecruisers and Destroyers… Oh no, it already happened!

i love the way you self appointed leaders keep saying we,, who the feck is we? are you speaking for your alliance?

I'm positive you are not! and you don't represent me so enough with the we think this and we think that.

you think for yourself and this thread is just another moaning monica EVE is dying thread.

ISD please deal with these nagative shites. getting sick of the daily tripe being dealt up by a few people.
it's not good for the game and i fear new bros are reading this shite and deciding not to sub up based on the rants of a few bitter shites.

when you grow bored of a game you do not try to change the game, you get over it and move along. the game isn't the problem, you are!

Obviously your "dream ship" is whatever is the most OP at the time, which eventually gets nerfed whenever they get around to it. Not your fault? Roll
As for WiS, just sux, no mistake putting down that dog, RIP.

“Finally”?
The OP amounts to “waah, they nerfed my stuff; I quit” — a throwing-toys-from-the-pram response that has been around since the first patch (and not just for this game — for any game) and which was as nonsensical back then as it is now.

If you have to wait for someone to say something to be able to quit in peace, your reasons for quitting at that time don't make a whole lot of sense. If you want to quit in peace, just quit and be at peace.

I myself have experienced the train to x ship only to see a Nerf come my way. Several times in fact. I've never thought of my skills as wasted. I either use the ship s different way or more likely choose a different skill set to build up. If you have truly trained carriers correctly, those skills should translate very easily. BTW, Tegus are still pretty fantastic IMO.

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friends nose. Unless you podded them...and collected their corpse.

only in eve cos it's 'special' other mmos are usually actual people as characters not ships usually with their own set ups. ie sword, armor, shields etc. fleet ships in eve are exactly the same. it's very rare you see 300 exact same characters with the exact same set up in say wow running about in gangs!!

This is precisely the type of post that incites scoffing on a large scale. Openly denigrating CCP in this manner because changes made to ships you have trained into no longer suit your personal play style or philosophy... is something you'll find most people more than happy to tell you is unacceptable.

You do not waste SPs in Eve Online. The typical player understands that MMOs are consistently changing and being re-balanced. Shooting for your dreamboat and hitting short of the mark later on would only grant you skills that are not only STILL useful, but the prerequisites would allow you to operate other hulls or modules with much greater efficiency.

I cannot just say "you're wrong". You have opinions that are valid to you, but when you approach it like this, Don't expect a pat on the back.
