How does one do it?

I was recently in a corp where by all the players with corp management were removed.

I thought the only way to disband/dissolve a corp was to kick every member then resign as ceo?
If no one has corp manament it wouldbt let you leave as no one is eligible.

Or am I incorrect? If no one has the skill when he resigns as ceo without a successor does it kick every one and close it,

I'm not expert on the minutiae of corporations, however, there are some things that are given.

1. A corporation always has a CEO. If the CEO decides to quit a corporation he must given that role to someone else.

2. When the last person leaves a corporation the corporation is closed.

You can resign as CEO at any time but it isn't necessary to close a corporation. I have several alts in their own trading corporations, some are one person corporations, one has several members. I've dissolved corporations myself, so being the last person in the corp. I would automatically have been the CEO.

Hope that is all a bit clearer now :)

I'm afraid that's not the question

Can the ceo dissolve the corp if it has members...or does everyone have to leave to the last member.

The scenario is that this person is kicking people with the corp management skill... But there are still 700 people in the corp.

Does he need to remove the other 699 people to disband...or can he do it now if no one has corp manament skill

You will have to manually remove all of them before you can close the corp, that or resign while making someone else CEO and then quit.

So basically...What he is doing isn't going to matter.

He will still need to remove every one regardless of having the corporation management skill

He won't need the skills to remove people.

If you want to assign someone else CEO (and then leave) then the new one doesn't need to have the full required skills for the amount of members you actually have (as long as you don't touch "update with skills" from the corp menu) but that person WILL need some rudimentary skills (not sure which but it's something really basic).

Just some thoughts.

The basic answer to your repeating question is NO. You cannot shut down a corp that still has characters in it.

A CEO can expel any member at anytime.
Removing roles first is not required to expel a character from corp.
CEO can remove any or all roles from any character in the corp at any time.

Given this and some other factors that may be in play here it seems like your CEO is cleaning house for some reason.
If your curious about what is going on then I suggest you ask.

My suspicion is that you CEO has some reason to suspect that these individual were doing something that the CEO does not like, so he is getting rid of them instead having to deal with the results.

On a darker side if a CEO removed every characters roles or kicked them out of corp there would be no one left to see that the CEO was moving corp assets to his own characters thus cleaning out the corp of anything of value.

And the list goes on.

Sorted thank you!

The information is...no, no the ceo can't disband unless everyone has left.

Thanks everyone for your input
