Hello ,

This is a serious thread but if you must troll then make it good .

I've been playing eve since 08 , for some its not alot , for others like myself its a decently long time , and i've been Recruitment Officer in most corps that i've been with and actually gave 2 cents about them .

The problem that I , personaly , am seeing is that recruitment has gotten very very slow recently .. I'm bumping my threads daily .. spaming RO channel often , keeping in-game Recruitment advert going ...even placing my eve-o RO add in my signature .. its not getting me any success

I never was much of a fan of the whole "eve is dying " fad and concept because , sure , things change , people get bored and they move on , some folks take longer breaks .. so on and so forth ... but now im actually starting to think the NR's have gotten reduced ... i would say alot but i can't be certain .

A couple of years ago if i was gonna recruit people for my corp i would have had atleast 1-2 possible members that wanted ot join on a daily basis ... now , its been a week and .. i think i got just 1 dude ? and to be fair the corp i am in is a low sec pvp corp with decent kb stats and decent activity in our time zone and even if you take in to account the high competition it still wouldnt put us so much at a dissatvantage .

Before that i was part of a WH corp within an alliance in a C4 ( good stuff ) and recruitment was still bad .

So all in all i guess im coming here cause im just curious about somethings , some facts .... Are people rushing towards Null even though most complain FozzieSov is bad ? Are people rushing back to High sec or quit altogether cause they don't like where eve is going ? or is it somethin else ....

Cause from where i'm standing .. and this is my oppinion , Low Sec is one of the better places to be right now , if you're looking for good fights and good pvp .

OR .. at the end of the day , maybe people just don't like me so they try to stay away from me ... who knows

I have seen massive influxes of new players in Nullsec.

But as the Code guy said, there is some truth, even I have a highsec ganking alt! But Nullsec is where its at largely

there are too many corps anyways, everyone thinks its essentially important to create his own corp.

If you cant get enough people for your own, join existing one - its obviously a self regulatory process.

too many corps too many alliances offering the same thing... recruitment is terribly painful unless you're the big alliances.

Could be, but he said "better space ship games", games, plural, even the imaginary game in his head only counts as one game P

Not sure how all these things apply to the normal recruitment channels you are using but there's a few things that spring to mind.

Your KB looks like you live in MIn/Ama lowsec space which in and of itself might slow down recruitment though i'm sure that just comes with the turf. Less population and interest in the area is bound to affect your prospective interest. Your ingame corp add says you are new pilot friendly but then stipulates a 15mil sp minimum, that's the best part of a whole year skill training. It also asks for chat on Ts and the requierment of being on ts and fleeted whenever you play.

I'm not saying anything there is bad but there's a lot of pitfalls to filter out vast amounts of potentially good recruits. Perhaps you should look at slacking off on some of them. Just a thought. It's worth mentioning that I have no experience in recruitment at all so it's just my lil opinion.

Well spotted.

And typical of the kind of "catch-all-be-all" self-contradictory corp recruitment texts that dont help anybody.

Trying to be too many things at once is not good.

OP, if I can have alliance director roles, I can help with your recruiting efforts.

Isn't 15 mil still considered small amount in EVE?

Small, yes.
Sort of.

Average across the board is 30mil (http://eveboard.com/statistics).
(Note, this "average" has all kinds of statistical problems. Doesnt mean the "average" capsuleer hss 30mil, it merely means the average between the highs and the lows, is 30mil, from a huge distribution).

New, no.
I wouldnt call anyone who has played for 12months+, as new.
