September 13th, YC 117

For whosoever shall lay his life down for his Lord
He shall be taken into the arms of God
And forever consecrated will he be.
- The Scriptures, Amarr Askura 2:3

Lord Chancellor Aritcio Kor-Azor,
Your Holiness High Deacon Mervan Moritok,
Esteemed Minister Sin Callor,

HOUSE URIZA PETITIONS THEE PER OUR RIGHT AS HOLDERS OF THE HOLY AMARR EMPIRE
The House of Uriza, puts forth a petition on the following matters regarding Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I. While this petition presented this under the norms of Holders, it is done so with full understanding that these are extraordinary times, particularly as a state of war exists with a group derived from Jovian heritage colloquially known as “Drifters”.

LET IT BE KNOWN THAT,
Under penalty of eternal damnation of my immortal soul, the following facts are true, germane to the Petition before you, and are essential to be collected in a public record:

· I, Grash Uriza, was present in the Imperial System of Safizon and witnessed the events that transpired on Friday, August 21st YC117 in the Imperial system of Safizon.
o My presence can at this time and place can verified through my involvement in The Guard Honor Fleet organized by the Venerated Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris.
· Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I arrived in system the Imperial System of Safizon in command of the Imperial Flagship, The Avitar Titan TES Seraph
o The Empress began to address the assembled crowd on the occasion of the official Maiden Voyage of and Transfer of Imperial Flag Command to the new Imperial Flagship, TES Auctoritas
o The reasons for The Empress to be in the Imperial System of Safizon were in accordance with her Holy Duties as The Defender of the Faith through her Royal Duties as the Commander-in-Chief of the Amarr Armed Forces.
· A Fleet of Drifter Battleships proceeded enter the field mid-address of Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl
o From a position approximately 100km from the TES Seraph, I, Grash Uriza, saw the enemy contacts enter the field via warp in two rings.
o The entrance of each ring of enemy contacts on to the field was separated by only a few seconds.
o Through visual inspection, each ring appeared to have 20-30 enemy contacts each.
· This initial count of enemy contacts would be wrong.
o Review of flight logs and flight video reveals each ring contained was 50 enemy contacts.
· The total number of enemy contacts numbered 100.
· The enemy fleet consisted of vessels known as “Drifter Battleships”.
· The TES Seraph was immediately targeted by all Enemy Contacts and attacked in unison with the Drifter Doomsday-level Super weapon known as Aegis.
o The attack resulted in the destruction of the TES Seraph.
o This attack came from all enemy contact and thus numbered the unprecedented event of 100 Aegis discharges in unison.
o Per research performed by Uriel Paradisi Anteovnuecci, The Aegis super weapon has “the curious similarity in appearance and observed power [the Aegis has] to the enigmatic superweapon of the Jove Directorate, used during the battle of Vak'Atioth”
· The Capsule of Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I was then targeted and destroyed by the enemy contacts.
o The Empress, per standard Training of the Imperial Normal Order of Battle, attempted to leave the field in her pod.
o The Capsule was prevented from leaving with warp scrambles from the majority of the Enemy fleet
o The Capsule was attacked in unison by all enemy contacts with the Drifter turret weapon known as “Lux Kontos” and destroyed.
· All Enemy Contacts warped from the field leaving the Corpse of Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I.
o The Corpse of the Empress was broadcasted in the Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris Honor fleet in an attempt to recover the body.
· [Image redacted per order of The Ministry of War]
· The Death of Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I is confirmed by Lord Pomik Haromi.
· Reports of Celebration reported and encouraged by the enemies of the Empire.
o Of most serious offense is Chief Tenerhaddi Dykon of the Krusual’s blasphemous statement on the matter “Why should they not rejoice? I am rejoicing as I would rejoice at the death of a rabid slaver hound.”
· Lord Pomik Haromi’s Declaration of War with a group derived from Jovian heritage colloquially known as “Drifters” accurately and dutiful described the events in the Imperial System of Safizon as unprovoked attack of our Holy Amar Empire resulting in the Murder of Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I.

AS SUCH,
HOUSE URIZA, HOLDERS WITHIN OF OUR HOLY AMARR EMPIRE
PUTS FORWARD IN PETITION THAT

· Her Death having taken place in accordance with Her Holy Duties as The Defender of the Faith through Her Royal Duties as the Commander-in-Chief of the Amarr Armed Forces qualifies Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I to be elevated in glorification as a Martyr of Our Holy Amarr Empire.
· By glorification of Martyrdom, The Feast Day of Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I shall correspond with her murder on August 22nd.
· Due to the extraordinary nature of these events, aggressive deployment is necessary, if not already taking place, of the Ministry's Ordinators to catch foreign actors and heretics who would seek to attempt to defame this proccess and spread disinformation regarding Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I
· For their role in the Martyrdom of Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I and their use of a the infernal Aegis super weapon with origins in the battle of Vak'Atioth, this group derived from Jovian heritage colloquially known as “Drifters” exist in an eternal irrevocable rupture with the Lord. As such, Any of Favored Children of the Lord who see to the enforcement of The Lord’s Holy Justice in the burning of this blight upon all of creation shall see extraordinary indulgences granted to their immortal soul.
· Chief Tenerhaddi Dykon of the Krusual has committed acts of sin against The Holy Amarr Empire. This blasphemy and outrage has created an irrevocable rupture with the Lord, and thus reclaiming has been eternally forfeited for him and any of his supportive kin. As such, Any of Favored Children of the Lord who see to the enforcement of The Lord’s Holy Justice in the burning of this blight upon humanity shall see indulgences granted to their immortal soul.

IN CLOSING,
We, House of Uriza, are highly appreciative of your attention as we strongly believe that now this the time to act upon these matters contained in the petition and urge thee to do so act quickly as demonstration of strength and resolve of the Holy Amarr Empire’s to all her enemies. We await thy response in this matter and continue to pray on for thee for strength and knowledge from the Lord to lead us.

[Edit:
This document originally stated Drifters were signatures to the Yulai Convention. This is not correct, and a mistake on the player’s part. They seem to be connected to the Jove, which is the greater point. This Document has been changed to reflect this fact.]

A hundred Lux Kontos.. not one.. not ten.. were used to take her down. It is only through overkill and Drifter excess that her spirit is only but temporarily silenced.

We look to God, in whose presence she stands in now.

A Martyr dies for their faith. Is there evidence that the Empress was assassinated because she believed in God?

I have been told that She has already obtained Sainthood via her role as the Empress. The Petition, was then much simplified to clarifly her place as a Martyr.

This question was covered in the statement of fact and is the first point of Petition. The point reads a such:
" Her Death having taken place in accordance with Her Holy Duties as The Defender of the Faith through Her Royal Duties as the Commander-in-Chief of the Amarr Armed Forces qualifies Our Servant of God Her Royal Highness Saint Empress Jamyl I to be elevated in glorification as a Martyr of Our Holy Amarr Empire."

No, this does not answer the question, it sidesteps it. It's tantamount to saying that a priest who dies in the process of being robbed was martyred for their faith.

A martyr is not someone of faith who is killed. It is not someone in a position of spiritual authority who is killed. It is someone who is killed because of their faith. If the Drifters killed the Empress because they didn't like the color of her socks, she was not martyred. If they killed her because of her political actions or because of actions like the dissemination of templar implants and entosis shielding, she is not a martyr.

If they killed her because she would not renounce God? Then she's a martyr for her faith. If not? She's no more a martyr than she is a hamster. Words have meanings. They are not simply labels you use to mean whatever you like as long as it's vaguely near the actual intent of the word and it's something that sounds impressive.

So: Do you have any evidence that the Empress was killed because of her faith, as opposed to because the Drifters took exception to her proliferation of Entosis equipment?

Do I understand what I'm doing when I say the Empress is not a hamster? Yeah. I'm pretty sure saying the Empress wasn't a rodent is a fairly uncontroversial statement.

Or are you claiming she was a hamster?

Because you still haven't actually answered the question of evidence that she was actually martyred, and not simply killed for other reasons.

ENOUGH!

The status of the late Empress, saint or martyr, will be determined by the Theology Council at the appropriate time.

While this is a very thoughtful and well crafted petition, I should remind the lot of you that we are at war. We should be discussing the defense of the Empire. We should be debating strategy and tactics. We should be considering logistics.

We should NOT be arguing the finer points of theology with the savages.

I trust that moving forward, instead of finding ways to venerate our dead, we can concentrate our efforts on preventing further death and defend our Empire and our People as we've sworn to.

We Khanid are making preparations and are ready to stand with our Amarr cousins. But this thread is a poor excuse for a field of combat.

Khanid Victor!
Amarr Victor!

I'd like to remind my Khanid cousin that It's in poor light to lecture the representative of a Holder.
I Understand it's been a while since you've had to properly understand the pecking order.

It's okay. We're still working on making you realize that your Kingdom's logo is flipped upside down ;)

House Uriza would do well to reconsider your position as one of its voices if this is your attempt at tact, diplomacy, and the understanding of any "pecking" order.

Lord Uriza,

We would like to second Lord Ibrahim Tash-Murkon's polite caution. Lord Mokk is an storied and respected member of the community, and a friend to those of us who revere God and Scriptures like he does.

Lord Mokk is gravely concerned of the Drifter threat, an enemy he has actively pursued in the field. We share his concern, and agree with his call to action. He rightly names the Theology Council as the owner for any decision of bestowal of Martyrdom for the late Empress.

We thank you for the petition, and we support it, but our relationship with the Kingdom is of great importance and the children of God must not forget and alienate each other, especially in these dark times.

You know, I may be a 'savage', but we were having a perfectly civil - if slightly snarky where the hamsters were concerned - discussion before all of these veiled threats and frankly uncivilized displays of 'Must Be Alpha-Male' cropped up.

So how about we stipulate that really, girls, you're all very pretty, and move on, hmm?

That I am easy on the eyes is not the present question nor, so far as I have ever observed, a topic of debate anywhere in the Cluster. What is clear is that the messenger of House Uriza had to be informed that if his dismissal of Sir Mokk's comment could be predicated on nothing more than his loyalty to His Highness King Khanid II and some misunderstanding of what rights status accords one and their staff (in this case, apparently, the perceived right to counter an argument ad hominem) logical and civil discussion had concluded and House Uriza should consider a more skilled voice.

In the unlikely and frankly scandalous event that my prettiness were called into question I might become very cross indeed. Such a reaction of incredulity would be understandable to a specimen such as yourself as you make for an ocular observation experience nearly as pleasurable to others as the one elicited by my own sculpted form.

Ms. Culome.. Arrendis, we can answer this question very simply. The Empress died in the active service of God, with faith in God, and while raillying the Amarr Faithful. Her final words, which we have quoted below, are a clear statement of her purpose for being in Safizon.

Jamyl Sarum I wrote:
Faithful of Amarr, it pleases us to see so many loyal capsuleers present here today. We are gathered here in token of our holy mission to reclaim creation and bring the glory of God to all. To reaffirm this mission, it is fitting we mark the launch of our latest Imperial Flagship, the Auctoritas. You will bear witness to the might and peerless technology of Holy Amarr as we

Does that satisfy your inquiry?
