Because I wasn't trying to make that kind of judgement call and I wasn't trying to define it. I was drawing a comparison to the phenomenon of declining users between two companies and how these two companies may deal with it. A decline in users can be perceived in different ways.

Having been in a company that saw a rapid decline in users, I can see how complicated the circumstance is and can not be easily summarized as "X is dying". With that in mind, I don't think EVE Online is necessarily dying. It's also a much better game to me than it was in 2007. Instead I think it's going through some complicated process right now that is difficult to understand.

So feel free to lock this thread if you mistake it as "EVE Online is dying" repetition.

I don't have enough information in order to make that kind of judgement about EVE Online. So my previous post was obviously very much about discussing my previous place of employment and how it handled a decline in users. That story is currently being written today and we'll see eventually what happens to my previous employer.

Personally I think a lot of these threads could be avoided if forum software would do a check so that if an NPC Corp forum alt tried to create a new thread, and having less than 10m SP, they would receive a 48hr forum ban Big smile

Well there is an estimated 14k alts that might be resubbed via plex if the price were to drop back to say - 380mil or so. Lost subs doesn't necessarily translate 1:1 to lost players it only indicates that a degree of unnecessary alt accounts can no longer be justified.

I know of a game called Dekaron, look at the release date then concider that I quit years ago and it wasn't doing well back then.

EVE will be fine, it's not like it's got E-bola or something.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

Plus the 3 characters I play most have so much sp it overlaps almost everywhere. I might just deactivate one. I wouldn't be surprised to learn other people are in a similar situation, and some might be even tighter on what they do. Can always just buy the characters they need on the bazaar, and activate/deactivate accounts depending on what they need.

OP is too late turning on his Damage Control II.Roll Should have turned in on when you started receiving shield damage not when you're at 50% hull already.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!
