I'm having problems with eve and I've even re-installed eve to try and fix it, but nothing seem to help.

All I hear is the background music and the on-board computer (saying "Warping", "Docking request accepted" etc). All other sound indicators like warp-in's, gate activation, hole activity, turrets or lock-on sounds are gone.

It's been this way since Wednesday when I tried the Singularity server, but i just thought it was an issue with a patch or something during down-time.

What I've tried to fix it;
- Re-install eve (deleting all resources and binaries)
- Ran the repair-tool (which returns a certificate error or something, see code below)
- Jumped in to Singularity again and no audio there either except for on-board computer and background music

Don't know what else to do.

Obligatory "EVE has sound?"

But on a serious note; I have something like your problem but backwards, I have all the sounds, but no Aura. It's always fixed by alt+tabbing out then back to EVE, then I have all sounds for the rest of the time the client is open. Not sure if it'll be that simple for you.

Just say NO to Dailies

Yeah I'm in fixed windowed mode so i "tab out" a lot, going from teamspeak, to browser, to game in an endless loop while playing. I'll go back to Windows 7 to see if this solves the problem (even though the audio worked on Windows 10 up until last Wednesday).

I get a feeling that Windows 10 is messing with a lot of things it shouldn't be messing with.

It's not just Windows 10. I'm using Windows 7, and turret sounds have a nasty habit of vanishing after the first one or two cycles of firing. Sometimes zooming in close returns the sound, but returning to my usual magnification level can cancel the sound yet again. This version of the audio glitch is with my client, along with 3 others I've spoken to in chat tabs. At one point, activating the Salvager gave me the audio of a cycle of medium projectile turret fire. o.0'?

This along with other bugs/glitches really became obvious as of the downtime patch on 2015-9-15. As the hours pass, more breaking things are showing up all over the place. UI, audio, hesitation on alignment, green cycle lights not in sync with actions, and most likely others.

Yeah, I've filed a bug on this and I'll make sure to link to this thread on that report too. I too have spoken to several people that have experienced this and it seems as my first theory of Windows 10 being the problem is not the case.

One of my friends solved it by installing linux and ran eve through wine, but I play other games too so linux is not an option for me.
