"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The previous weekly overview can be found here.

The current "This week in EVE" gives an overview of the week from September 5th to 11th

Dev blogs and announcements
Windows XP and Windows Vista moving to limited support on September 15th, 2015
Starting on September 15th 2015, Windows XP and Windows Vista will be placed in limited support. This means that certain new features, as well as changes to existing content in EVE Online may not function or perform correctly on these platforms, and certain issues experienced only by users of limited support operating systems may not be resolved.

EVE Euro Tour Overview
The CCP Euro Tour 2015 is going to start in the next few weeks! CCP is going to tour Europe from September 19 to 27, visiting or hosting four large player gatherings over the course of two weeks. EVE_NT, EVE Paris, EVE Berlin and Evesterdam - come and join us! Visit one, some or all of those gatherings and have lots of fun - you won't regret it!

Vanguard release music
Vanguard, the next update to be released on September 29, comes with exciting release music. Tune in and enjoy this brilliant track!

Amarr Challenge from Sep 15 to 25
The Amarr Empire has issued four global missions to commemorate the recent events in New Eden, and gear up DUST 514 mercenaries on the ground with ISK, AUR and a special issue SKIN Module. Check out the forum discussion for further information.

Issues and workarounds
Laggy user interface? Clearing cache might help
If you experience a laggy User Interface (especially with lag spikes), then clearing the cache might help in some cases. If you still continue to have UI lag spikes, please send a bug report after someone those large spikes have happened - thank you! To file a bug report, simply click F12 in game and use the in-game bug reporting tool.

Game development
What happened with previous ideas from the art team
After watching the Fanfest 2014 Art panel discussion, Helushka Bodaway asked where we stand with some of those ideas. Not all experimental projects shown at Fanfest (or elsewhere) will be implemented, some of them are already in game and some others are worked on. CCP Darwin mentions that there is plenty of work in the (art) pipelines, but details have to wait until things are more ready.

Changes to Fleet Warp delayed
Originally we wanted to change the way how fleet warping is working as well as introducing fleet-based bookmarks and other improvements. However, we noticed that the fleet-based bookmarks require more work than anticipated. Since we are not going to release a half finished feature with the best half missing, the whole change of the fleet warp mechanism is delayed now until further...
