make the sol system home for all new players

I think new players should start in sol system, the area could be 1 big tutorial where civilian moduals are the best you can get .

to escape players would need to scan down a 1 way wormhole and arive in new eden, if they die they will respawn back in the sol system unless they reset their home station.

for lore reasons sol system might be tricky but i think it would be cool

By sealing the starter area it gives dev's more power craft the initial eve experience. IE its impossible to die, civilian weapons might only do enough damage to disable a ship for a time etc

There is no logical reason for this.

so you want a totaly seperate solar system that new players start in, that older veteran players can not get to and new players are totaly unable to interact with veteran players (for good or ill )???

does this not go aginst the spirit of EVE in general??

i guess wormholes would not have to be 1 way, spliting players from vets is a valid concern . Ive just seen a few times ccp are not happy with the tutorial system, i thought it might be a good idea to actual have a dedicated starting area with terain that encorages players to learn differrent aspects of eve. The rules in that place can be diffrent without effecting the rest of the game. Also id love to see earth or whats left of it, in eve.

It is not surprising that this particular kind of daft "idea" comes from a CFC member. Roll It has so many defects and flaws even in this few lines of text, calling it redundant or trolling does these two words injustice.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Spitballing only works if you actually understand the underlying game. Your idea just ignores literally everything about EVE.

That's like me "spitballing" the idea of implementing pink cow avatars for new characters. It's a complete nonsequitur.

The idea of a system filled with 100s of new players in noobships ...all learning , chatting and shooting each other sounds fun to me ,why do new players need contact with vets If the starter tutorials are well thought out and interesting/fun and promote grouping up with fellow close by pilots

maybe not sol system, but the idea of an COMPLETELY isolated system is something I like

Or why is segregating New players from the best teachers and content in the game until they learn to probe a good idea?

What promotes group play better than any tutorial could? Playing with existing corps
What teaches new players about the game better than any tutorial could? Playing with existing corps.

We have noob systems at the moment which put hundreds of New players together already with the added bonus that new players (and alts) dont have to jump through arbitrary loops to get to the greater community and ontop of that older players looking for new blood can goto noob systems and advertise their Corp recruitment.

Once a new player has had some time to familiarise themselves with the ui we should be handing them over to the players.

EVE FAQ "7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided"

Lore wise isn't the Sol system cut off by the collapse of the Eve gate? I never really paid much attention to Eve Lore, but isn't that the... basic premise....of Eve from a lore perspective, the collapse of the Eve gate and building of the Empires?

One of yet so many threads that try to fix what isnt broken. Eve is badly designed which does make it a tougher new player experience than some games but EVEs noob and normal help channels are some of the best in the entirety of gamimg and more than make up for EVEs poor design and coding.

Of course, if you dont use the EVE help channels and you quit out of frustration at least we got rid of the problem.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

EVE is in new Eden, very distant from planet earth. Humans got here trough a WH, the wormhole then collapsed, thousand of years came after that to the point where 4 distinct cultures evolved (5 if Jove), to the present day.
So, no, newbros can not all born in the Solar system and be in new Eden at the same time.

Hey guys, let's ignore 10+ years of lore, 10+ years of game mechanic and heck lets make civi modules the best there is in a place where civilization is thousands of years more advance than in New Eden.

How about no OP, just no.

Been around since the beginning.
