Questions about engine colors on faction ships

I bought a bhaalgorn in the same year they were released. I just loved everything about the ship especially the red colored engine effect. When I came back a few weeks ago and hopped into my bhaalgorn, I noticed (in space) that the engine is blue now. The vindicator still has green engines. Why?

And would it be possible to add a feature to choose the engine color for each ship? We can change skins, why not engines (without the need to buy them for each ship) ?

I vaguely remember reading something about it quite a while ago.

I think CCP changed the propulsion color to designate the NPC Corporation that manufactured the ship.

Or was it to designate the Faction.

Hmmm, not sure now.

Pretty sure it was dependent on the primary faction the hull was based off of.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
