Thank you...Even though I'm not sure who exactly was the one that removed Nauplius thread....

I'm sure however that it was removed...and because you are the only mod that i ever see on the IGS, You have my thanks.

Sadly we are not sure if that Thread was actually legit and that guy is..doing that...But at least we don't have to share this forum with that thread anymore

Now...If you could just ban Nauplius from the forums entirely...that be grand

Anyone else second that?

Nope.

This place is for the free expression of ideas. ALL ideas. Bloodraider, Guristas, Angel, Serpentis, Goon, we get a voice too.

We start down that road and pretty soon no one has a voice.

Do I like the original post? No, it was abhorrent. Do I have a right to make a stand against it? Hell yeah. Do I have a right to complain about it? Sure. Do I have the right to demand it gets censored and taken down and the person removed because it made me sad?

NO.

You don't like Nauplius and the things he does? Too bad. He's a Bloodraider, they tend to do stuff like this. You don't like it, do something about it. But don't turn this forum into a place where you have to get permission to express an idea.

His girlfriend posted that some Sanis were doing this weeks ago. Did she get censored? No. So Nauplius upped the stakes. Boo Hoo. Like this is a surprise to anyone?

Do I support his actions? F*ck no. If someone grows a pair big enough to take him down I won't lose a minute of sleep. But until someone decides to strap on some armor, grab a blaster, jump in a ship and ace the f*cker, he has as much right as anyone else here to speak.

So do I. So do you.

Actually, Mr. Moray, you can demand all you like. Just, no one has to do anything about it.

Apparently the moderators decided this one was beyond the pale, though, which maybe isn't surprising since they don't even allow us to enter the word, "****."

... as you see.

Please don't assume that your Federal rules are universal. The IGS runs on different standards. The limits are generous, but ... well, obviously they exist.

About that: he's been killed repeatedly. Death isn't any real impediment to speech.

It's an issue with us pseudo-immortals.

"Federal Rules?"

**** that.

Oh...yeah...I see what you mean.

Still...

Also, nothing is immortal. We're decidedly hard to kill or capture, but it can be done.

Mr. Nauplius isn't gallentean thus shouldn't be banned.

However, his idea about that... stuff... it WAS gallentean, so it has to be removed.

I don't see the point in banning him.
Despite being...a deeply ****** up individual, Nauplius is entertaining.
It's rather fun watching the fallout in any thread he's a part of.

Nah. Instead, every time Nauplius posts something, the post automatically also provides information of all the slaves he purchased, when he purchased them, from where he purchased them, what he is doing with them, where he is taking them and his last known coordinate and last known coordinates of all his property.

As well as every dirty laundry he has.

This madman should be placed under constant surveillance and scrutiny.

No doubt that he should...... but what do you propose to do if he milks the surveillance teams?

I hesitate to ask, but since I'm evidently late to the party... Can someone euphemistically express the general idea of what the now-renamed (CENSORED) Tower was originally named?

If it's what I've inferred from others' discussion (sounds objectifying and possibly sexual in nature), it's not only typically repulsive but also a distinct shift in modus operandi, and THAT concerns me.

Replace teams with drones that self-destruct whenever captured. They should all pack enough explosives to set his clothes on fire each time.

I have to agree with Mr. Moray here.

Intergalactic Summit should be open to all capsuleers. Whilst there are some basic rules and polite behaviour to uphold, I don't think Mr. Nauplius has breached it. If he has, that's for the ISD to decide, not a petition or a vote by an angry mob.

Also, you do realize by making this post you're technically giving leeway to Nauplius' original one and allowing it to still have impact and presence after being removed?

Sometimes inaction can be more beneficial than action; it's pity a lot of people prefer the sound of their voice to pragmatism.

Bloody Nauplius ran away
Hiding from the light of day
Made a tower in the night
Far away from Summit's sight.

Podders think they all are safe
Protected by CONCORD's grace
Silly people, you should know
He shall reap just what you sow

Bloody Nauplius' full of wile
Monster from the dairy aisle
Minmatar and all your ilk
Nauplius comes to steal your milk

I must check my kitchen closets for Naup before I put the milk into the refrigerator.

Pilots. Please?

I agree that Nauplius is ridiculous, but the fact that he is something that actually happens to people makes him ridiculously horrible.

I'd like to be able to laugh about it. I really would. But I keep thinking about the people he's happening to.

And I can't.

So don't think about the people he's happening to....then laugh.

I know I can't, pilot. But it's not that easy. My first memories, before I met any of you, are of being locked in my captain's quarters, a defective, probably unauthorized clone, waiting for the local authorities to order some security officer or STPRO marine to do what the automated systems and cloning bay staff hadn't.

I've been there-- helpless, stuck in a box, waiting to die. Only, what those women are going through is so much worse than anything that ever happened to me, and, even if they're not being systematically murdered, probably very few of them will get out of there alive.

I know there's nothing for it. I get that.

I also get that ridicule is all Nauplius deserves. It's probably the best way of getting at him. It's why I started, um, adding postscripts to his remarks.

Sometimes it's too much, though. He worships a god of atrocity, and just like there are levels of pain nobody can endure, there are things he does that just go beyond mocking.

Like this.

It's not funny to me. It's never going to be.
