Help finding Science Graduates

Hello Everyone,

First time posting on forum.

I'm looking for help finding science graduates (the passenger item).

I'm aware I can buy them off the Market.

My question is this:
- Are there specific missions that reward SGs or specific buildings that house them or specific areas I can find them in?
My interest is purely for a hobby of collecting them.

If you have some you don't want, or know where to farm/acquire them, please mail me!
Compensation will be provided for helpful information.

Cheers

I believe there is a mission (randomly assigned) that asks you to transport them or rescue them. If you have to transport them, you fail the mission if you keep them, but the agent won't penalize you if it's less than 1 failed mission per 4 hour period. If you have to rescue them from pirates, typically you "rescue" more than the agent needs for the mission, so 10 or so are left over.

Thank you Memphis Baas. Do you know of a specific agent that you can get these missions from? or just have good luck with all level of transport and security missions?
Also are there any buildings that can be blown up to loot science graduates (regardless of penalty)?

You could always collect Homeless.
Or citizens.
Or miners.

You should name all of them.

Failing a mission, as in either canceling or allowing 7 days to pass for an accepted mission, does net you standings penalties; declining or letting an unaccepted offer elapse is what is safe to do every 4 hours without fear of standings hits for doing so. The penalties are not that bad, though, as long as you don't do it several times back to back continuously -- that will get you into standings trouble.

There are quite a few (more like many) items on contracts that are only found from mission drops or from the agent themselves and they routinely fetch a large price given often the cost of keeping them rather than turning them over to the host agent.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Are you sure the item name is correct?

I can't seem to find it on various database-dump sites, nor mentioned on eve-survival.

EDIT: Found one mention. Still looking. I'm guessing they drop from a structure.

I remember this one Smile

Back when the SoE agent in Gicodel was a Personnel agent (before the removal of agent divisions) the agent used to offer a hauling mission that had science graduates. So I'm pretty sure it's a commodity used in level 4 hauling missions.

Tau mentioned that he couldn't find info, I'm not sure why that would be, possibly because it's a distribution mission? You might be able to confirm my recollection by looking at the mission guide as I seem to remember that the hauling missions are listed in a separate section (though I'm not in game to check).

Not trying to be a **** OP but this is better suited to the New Citizen Q&A section of the forums.

The people in NC Q&A are pretty friendly and usually more willing to help a newbro out.

If you post in General Discussion you are opening yourself up to be trolled by the regular asshats that dwell within this subforum, which may give you an undeserved negative veiw of other eve players.

I don't need twitter. I'm already following you.

Ok thank you everyone, I've bought a small hauler and moved to that SoE Distrbution lvl 4 agent. I'll do a few dozen missions and let you know if I find any graduates.
Thank you for the advice!

Not sure how recent this data is, but:

http://eveinfo.com/missions/384/future-leaders

Mission is called "Future Leaders" and it's a level 2 distribution / courier mission. Might be limited to level 2 agents, or it may be available from higher level agents. Although a level 3/4 mission might ask you for "a large group of graduates" which is a completely different item in the game's database.

Update:
So after running 16 lvl 4 SOE distribution missions, I got no science graduates missions, so I switched to lvl 1/2 missions, and ran ~40, and still got nothing.
That being said, the lvl 1/2 missions did give refugees, janitors, and other various items that I could have kept if I abandoned the missions.
So all in all, I will keep trying 1/2 distribution missions in the hopes of rolling lucky.
In the mean time, if you have graduates burning a hole in your stations, contract them to me and I'll gladly take them.
Current Buy orders are around 75k each.
Cheers and thank you for your help everyone.

Hmm....

At one point, CCP renamed mission items that were commodities, so they couldn't be simply purchased from NPC vendors.

All my science graduates died in the most horrible painful spaceships fires of my early eve life.

Fortunately my real life as a science graduate has had less fire.

AKA the scientist.

Death and Glory!

Well fun is also good.
