I read that a viable option for doing the sleeper data/relic sites in WH is to just go with a drake, kill first spawn except the trigger, refit to hacking and then just hack while tanking the damage of the remnants of the first wave.

I tried it in a C2 and yep, quite easy... for a 0,5m reward. I guess that the big money is on C4 - C6 but I would like to know:

- Up to where is viable this strategy? Can i tank with a drake ( T2 tank and missile ) the damage from a C4 - C5 relic/data site long enough to thin down a little their numbers and then tank while hacking?

- Is it WAY more rewarding ? I mean i can make 30 mill from a single relic site in null ( up to 100 if shansa ) without any kind of combat, in a much safer environment and risking just a 20mill covops. I would not go the whole scanning, reshipping, warping, risking and time consumpting needed for less than 200mill lets say.

It's not as lucrative as it used to be but you pretty much want to be exclusively be doing this in C5 space.

C4 is bugged most of the time and C6 is too hard. However the ship you want to use will not be a drake, I believe most of my corpmates that do this use a stratios.

You're looking for ONE specific can called the "talocan battleship" which contains the possible intact small hull sections used for creating T3 Destroyer blueprints.

Back when the confessor was first being released, it wasn't uncommon to get half a bil from one can, however you will be looking at 50-100m now. Only upside is that the loot is far more consistent than regular relic/data.

It's not easy and it is extremely risky and arguably no longer worth it, however someone's gotta make those T3 blueprints ;)

As of right now, small intact hull sections are selling for 28mil as the lowest sell order. I think most I've seen out of a can was 3 and there are the wrecked and malfunctioning ones as well that sell for a few mil.

A stratios is on my sights indeed (building up proper skills), but exclusively for ghost sites and sleeper caches in Alliance K-space. Too much risk to get it to a WH for such a small reward What?

So the rest of the cans keep being trash even in a C5? Funny compared to finding a sansha crystal quarry in a C1 and getting 150mill without any effort... ( apart from the omnipresent WH risks ).

I used to do something similar, except I didn't even bother killing the rats. At the time I was young enough I didn't even know about WH classes, but I'm guessing it was some low class. I used a well tanked heron and had a bookmark at 200km from the cans. I'd warp to the can furthest from the rats, orbit it, hack it while range/speed/sig tanking the sleepers and warp back out. Repeat until the site was clear.


It was great fun, challenging, took forever, was EXTREMELY risky...
...and the reward was crap.
