A friend of mine recently started playing Eve, and has taken up level one missions in Gallente space. I told her the basics of mission running, and how to spot and reject missions that go against another empire, (so she doesn't loose Caldari / Amarr standings)

I'm not a huge mission buff, but I did make it to level 4s without having to decline too many anti-empire missions. For her however, it seems as if every other mission is against Caldari or Amarr.

I'm a bit confused as to why she's getting so many of these... do certain agents offer more of these missions, or is it just random? Also, is there an easier way to avoid / detect these types of missions? She just really wants run missions without having to worry about damaging other standings.

Navies love anti-Empire missions. Stay away form them if you want keep your name cleared amongst all four major Empires. It'd be a good time to teach her about the Agent Finder and how to find specifically agents clumped together so that when having to decline missions, she's not having to sit on her ass waiting for a sixth of the day to go by.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

In my experience I've noticed that Gallente Agents offer more Anti-Empire encounter missions than the other Factions.

Of course that's right at the start, eventually after gaining standing, the Agent should offer more missions like those that were previously accepted and completed.

It's always a good idea to work a couple of Agents. Can access another Agent while waiting for the mission decline timer to expire.

Navy agents always offer a higher proportion of anti-faction missions. They also have the worst LP store relative to other corps. If your friend is in Gallente space it would be much better to work for Duvolle or Roden Shipyards if not SoE.

Thanks, I'll suggest these to her next time we're on.

Are the SoE missions any different than the others?

No. They run for SoE because of best LP/isk

I wouldn't say it is the best, but is does have high value and is very consistent. Plus you don't have to deal with any tags. I have a bit of a tag stockpile for 3 factions and I have 13bil+ in tags according to jeveassets. and yea it is just annoying to deal with.

SoE agents tend to get whatever the common missions are for the region they live in.

Hence Lanngis gets lots of Angels but not many Gurista, Osmon gets a fair few Gurista etc etc etc.

People mainly run SOE due to reliable LP/ISK and less standing issues then other agents.

The best place to cash in SOE LP is Amarr (assuming you have an alt/clone there) as there are no lvl IV SOE mission hubs in Amarr space.
