Right Worm Corp for me?

I'm thinking about trying to get into trying out wormhole living, and I have no clue where to even start. I have about 13m SP, a decent understanding of the game in general, and I am a terrible pilot. My active game time hours are 12:00-18:00 EVE time, primarily, which means I should have the best luck finding a EUR time zone corp. I also only speak english, and not a lick of anything else. If I do this, I'll be looking for a corp that is friendly, tight knit, willing to help me learn, and preferably uses voice comms. Does anyone have any suggestions for the corp for me?

But you just joined a corp?

Just how terrible are we talking here?

As corp mascot I'm very friendly and suitably tight as you can tell by my catsuit's form-fitting trim.

It's synthetic though, polymers and ****. No knitting afaik.

If you think you can handle this, then check it.

I'm an "ok" pilot in general, but since i made the decision to be a dedicated frig pilot (Larger ships honestly have done nothing but bore the hell out of me, dessies aren't so bad though) I realized I'm **** at manually piloting.

Requirements:

Pilot at least one: HAC, T3, or T2 Logi with Logistics V

I don't really have too much interest in flying any of these types of ships :/

Extras that are desirable:

Prior wormhole experience
Be able to pilot at least one T3 with all subsystems to IV or V
Competent fleet commander
Good Logistics V capable pilot
Triage carrier or dreadnaught pilot
Heavy/light interdictor pilot

I have none of these qualities, hahaha.

We also have a Newbie program that will allow anyone with the following skills to grow and become a good w-space pilot. We provide a skill plans and skill books as well as some ships. Limited slots.

Minimum requirements:

Fly an Astero or T2 covops frigate w/ covops cloak
Astrometrics 3

This I can do. I do have the ability to fly ALL t2 frigs of every race.

I can't think of any Wormhole corp that focuses on frigate based PvP, outside of maybe some wolf rayet people.

Yeah, if frigs are all you like to fly (and importantly all you want to fly) then you might struggle a little.

A lot of the time it's all about the T3 cruisers and their support.

But hey, might be a group out there keen for a dedicated interceptor pilot and I know there's a few bomber groups out there, so you never know. Good luck to you, sir.

Many thanks for the info guys. I'll try to look around and see if there are any dedicated WH bomber corps. That seems incredibly relevant to all of my interests.

If it's bombers you are looking for then look at wingspan deliver service, they are a corp that use bombers a lot in whs https://gate.eveonline.com/Corporation/WiNGSPAN%20Delivery%20Services here a corp link.

I don't need twitter. I'm already following you.

noooo. srsly, go watch his videos. if your eyes survive 30 minutes without a pencil shoved through them, join up. If you skewer your face, go elsewhere. Anywhere elsewhere.

Try Red Fire. Mr nering is into microgang, he does frig stuffs, he might be able to use a frig pilot.

Also, just join up to anyone or anything, and fly frigs.

lets assume there's some big hodown between, for argument's sakes, DURA LEXX and some corp. Dunno, just spit-balling here, this lmost never happens IRL. But if it were to happen, odds are that there would be 20 angry Russians versus some PUG-lyfe horde of imbeciles or miscreants who blob into the target system with T3's, BC's, etc etc.

By the time you get to the stage of these kinds of fights, EWAR is key.

Now, cruiser wise including recons, the only recons which are worth their price and mass and space in a gang are basically Curses and Huginns. Everything else is either better off done as a T1 cruiser (damps? go Celestis ECM? BB) or T3 (Loki, Legion, Tengu).

Or, really, you fly an EWAR frigate. Properly flown, a Maulus is as effective at damping as a Celestis. A Vigil or Hyena is a very, very effective TP platform considering its maneuverability and ability to get away from drones. You can still get jams off using a Kitsune. Not so much use in big fleets for a Sentinel (though TD's are handy) but believe me, you can do some nasty, nasty stuff to a Marauder in a Sentinel.

Cloaky wise, just mainline for an Astero. This is THE ship to do scouting in. No exceptions.

You should look at Catastrophic Overview Failure!

*COF COF*

Newbie friendly corp :D

They do a lot of roams with T1/2 Frigs, Cruisers, Bombers & T3 Destroyers so you'd fit right in :)

We have an active EU timezone so there'd be people online to chat and fleet with. I think the only time we don't have people online is when the server is offline :D

Look at bombers bar and wingspan... they'll take bomber pilots pretty readily
