ok idea is that the module will be a highslot mod which has 4 different size's and operate much like a smartbomb with a few differences

  1. module does not cause damage
  2. Does not decloak ships but instead shows on screen (like how bookmarks are now and such) where the ship is located
  3. Only the person using the module will be able to see the ship's location (with one exception)
  4. Is not system wide scanning but distance based from ships current location
  5. Cloak from gate jumps is immune to this (not sure bout this one tbh)

so this module will have a major cap usage but is still determined by the size of the module as well as the range not being far

Sizes

  1. Small
  2. Medium
  3. Large
  4. Extra large

Ranges (sorted in order of the same as the sizes)

  1. T1: 10 km T2: 20 km
  2. T1: 30 km T2: 60 km
  3. T1: 90 km T2: 180 km
  4. T1: 255 km T2: 500km *(not sure if possible)*

Now here's the reason for the extra large one, this one will be operate similar to the ECM burst module in terms of cap and cooldown period (EXCEPT IT IS NOT TARGETED) it will still originate from the ships current position however the cloaked ship will be shown to everyone on grid/range instead

Also the ship will only be shows up at their position of the scan and that location will slowly dissapate/ spread out (think of the location being lost due to something, let your imagination run on this) so if the cloaked ship is moving it'll still be a difficult target to locate/chase down

Ideas or constructive comments? (lets keep this civil)

also inb4 you say this is for anti afk cloaking (it's not really, it's more of a fleet warfare base orentation through communication and gives capitals a use in the current gameplay besides the occasional login once in 6 months to change their skill queue)

The mods didnt make a sticky for nothing.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

broken. cloaky ships shouldn't be made to suffer just so you can feel safe on grid...

Its officially Friday now. the glorious day that starts 3 days of rehashed crap over the weekend

Wonders what the copycats of this and the other top ten stuff will post. About the only way to make this stuff kind of fun in some sick way.

-1 because redundant.
-1 because you were to lazy to look at the stickies.
-1 because you did not make even a half hearted attempt to search for a similar idea.
-1 because this is a terrible idea.
-1 if you hate cloaked ships then play another game.
