UK Refugee Petition

Hello Everyone,

On an unusually serious note I like many others have been following the refugee crisis in Europe in the news and the human cost associated with it. It takes a particularly heartless individual to see images such as this drowned 3 year old washed up on a Turkish beach whilst attempting to flee Syria and not want to act:

Unfortunately the current UK government is one such group of individuals. If you are a UK citizen could you please spare 10 minutes to sign this petition to alert our leaders that a position of apathy is not acceptable and that our nation can and should be doing more to help those fleeing such cataclysms.

Whilst our community here in EVE can have a reputation for ruthless self interest and betrayal inside the game we also have a proud history as a community of helping worthy causes in the real world. If CCP, the CSM and the broader player base would like to consider if the plight of these people can be assisted by a 'Plex for Good' Campaign that would be appreciated.

I'm not looking to start an argument over immigration/asylum seeking etc here. If you don't agree with the petition or the sentiment behind it then you don't have to sign it!
