Corp-wise sig database

Hello,

Wouldn't it be neat to be able to save probbed signatures directly with probe scanner, without using the bookmark system ? Instead of comparing bookmarked locations with what you have displayed in your scanner (which is boring and tedious when there are dozens of sigs) you would see what has already been probed as soon as you log in.

Of course if this is implemented it needs to allow us to give custom names to saved sigs.

There's some third party stuff that does this.

My corp uses https://siggy.borkedlabs.com/

You can copy sigs from your probe scanner and paste them in there.

This exists. It's called corp bookmarks on top of the map.

Or tripwire

or siggy

With siggy and corp bookmark you still have to check what has already been probbed and what has not. With this you just have to open your probe scanner, nothing else.

I get what you're after and why, but lets remember that we're a very small group and this would probably be too time consuming for CCP to try to clunk through.
Also, I think we are just fine as it is now.

Yeah it's already functional but it good be way better. I don't know how hard it would be for CCP.

Sounds like an in-game sig tracker. You can paste sigs from a system into Tripwire to check for new sigs, easily because it will add the new sig, delete a missing sig, and update the rest. That's about as much as handholding as it gets. I'm sure Siggy has the same feature, too.

You're right, it would just be built in game, and so easier to use.

Especially for people like me, who play with a single tiny screen, everything that is third party and require the in-game browser to be opened is a bit painful.

CCP should be removing IGB some time in the future for more CREST magic. It would be pretty handy if sigs are updated corp-wide. If you're not in it, you should join TweetFleet Slack where you can push these sort of ideas. There are several members of CCP, ISD, CSM, and important Internet spaceship pilots there.

If you don't see the point that's fine. If nobody else see the point then I'll still live without it no worries, if we're enough to find this idea intresting then maybe it'll be a future game feature and you won't be forced to use it anyway.
