I understand stomping with your right foot on floor 3 times as hard as possible works best. Do not use your left one.

I get the feeling it's like, I'm not playing until you give me my ship back.

Its that also but more like : I will not play a game where almost impossible to counter or avoid 'superhyperdunk' like tactics are legal.

Well you are in luck because the superhyperdunk has been ruled not legal.

Of course, it is not true that it is "almost impossible" to counter this tactic. A single combat frigate on grid would have countered Globby and his stealth bomber during these experiments. But that is beside the point I guess.

I am still not sure why your playing of the game depends on whether you get your stuff back. You either like playing Eve, or you don't. I mean, feel free to ask for items you think were lost unfairly, but whether you have a certain number of items in your hanger or ISK in your wallet seems secondary to whether you actually enjoy playing the game.

A few questions related to your thread

1. you say "no point logging in" do you actually own only 1 ship and have 0 isk?
2. did you read the description of the game when you signed up?
3. did you know that you can be ganked by people and its valid gameplay?
3. are you a code alt?
4. what are you going to do if they say no to reimbursment?

1 assume i do
2 briefly
3 ofc, I've done ganking in different forms many times myself
3 no
4 look for another 'hardcore' but with fair mechanics game

@Avvy
What do you mean by 'protest'?

top tip, think of the "undock" button as a "ship write off" button

I have a question. If this 'superhyperdunking' was technically legal at the time of the OP's incident, does that mean the OP gets reimbursement?

Sounds like the ruling was made after the time of the incident (at least 9 days ago), so technically the person executing the 'superhyperdunk' was acting within the rules.

Seems like the fairest thing to do is to only reimburse from incidents which occur after the ruling was made.

So you'll probably play EVE then, since not only is superhyperdunking absolutely trivial to avoid, counter, and survive — it is also not legal.

That will often depend on the individual GM. It's fairly rare that these kinds of rulings are applied retroactively, but since it's such a limited number of instances and parties involved, and since it was pretty iffy from day #1 (Globby apparently tried to get a clear ruling on it, but I got the impression that if he got an answer, it was from someone who didn't quite understand what he was doing), it should stand a better than average chance.

Anyway, the OP is just making excuses. He obviously doesn't intend to stick around for any amount of time irrespective of the outcome. He's just looking for an excuse to justify a decision he's already made.

I cant really understand what you are saying. Why should it matter to anyone if I enjoy eve or not? I choose to dedicate time and resources to using this service and what I really care about is getting what Im paying for. If i point out something that i dislike about the service its because I consider comunication superior as opposed to just pack up my stuff and leave as a first reaction. Stop beating that same old long dead horse about 'leaving if not enjoying'

He's saying that your waiting for an answer doesn't make much sense. Either you're enjoying the game and can just log in and keep playing, or you don't, in which case the outcome of your petition won't matter.

It's not really a dead horse, though, now is it? It's just the sensible thing to do: if you don't enjoy a game, why on earth would you play it? If you do enjoy it, why not play it while you wait for the petition to be processed? If your enjoyment is solely contingent on the outcome of that petition, then it's a pretty safe bet that you aren't actually enjoying the game since nothing will change once you get your answer and since you've already decided not to play.

I thought the point of games was the enjoyment one gets from playing.

Can you please explain what you mean by "getting what Im paying for" ?

Because you made it our concern by bringing it to the forums.

Sure. The ones you've expressed just happen to not make much sense.

I'd have said that the fairest way would be to reimburse even if it happened before it was decided that it was illegal. As there must have been a reason they decided it was illegal, plus as far as I know it was a relatively new tactic.

Could be the reason why the ticket is taking awhile, as they may still be discussing what reimbursements they should do.

Well, I am just curious. I am trying to imagine how the outcome of this petition would tip the scales either way. You either get enjoyment from playing this game or you don't it seems to me. How the outcome of a petition changes this is beyond me.

Of course you do not have to tell me, but you certainly have piqued my interest by your continual public airing of this issue.

I can't figure it out. I can makes some guesses, but I am asking you nicely to share your rationale.

My ticket is indeed about hyperdunking - the jettison ship variant or superhyperdunking as some call it - and this practice was recently outlawed.

I have attached several pollite coments so far on the ticket wtih 48 and latelly 24 hours frequencyes and cannot help but taking it personal after so much time has passed with not even a single replly that at least mentions a ETA on the resolution.

As a future refference for PR regarding (dificult) tickets a personalized response containing at least an ETA will go a long way in customer statisfaction, no?

I used to work support in another field, and can say, that if you change your petition (by just changing the tekst, adding comments etc), it just goes to the back of the line in most helpdesk systems out there. Be patient and you'd have probably been helped already ;)

The times when i have opened a ticket, i've gotten a response within the week (a lot sooner depending on what was the issue). Keep in mind that a lot of people file tickets at the moment due to the exploit and every one of them needs to be investigated.
