Hey is that candy in there..

Play times are sporadic, but I am willing to learn when I can. Generally an hour or two later US Mountain Time (GMT-7).

Jonah, thanks for the reply too, still absorbing/reviewing all that info.

Various US TZ Mostly. We predominately shoot people in highsec for fun and profit. Get prepared to die.

Belligerent undesirables , go there poke the lurking miscreants found therein.

I'd take vimsy up if I were you, solid mercenaries.
I'll kick your name up later when I get online but I'm not sure where we stand on recruiting right now.

Hey Altony!

I'm just getting started in the content creation business myself. I'm in the PST TZ, tend to be on later than most, and would love to bungle around all noob style and make horrendous mistakes with you as we try to figure out how to make that killboard green with guidance from various mentors around New Eden.

I'll watchlist you and say hi when I see ya!

Things that went boom

Storytime with Moon Moon New stories semi frequently-ish!

In regards to security status, is killing pirates in anomaly sites a viable way to boost your security status back up after taking hits? If not, what could be a viable way?

Or do I just acknowledge my security status will eventually be horrible?

yes. Its easy to fix sec status - just tedious. OFC you can just buy tags. If you dont pod kill your sec status wont fall all that fast btw.

Yup, you need a corp.

Probably a lowsec corp by the sounds of it.

Why do you recommend a low sec corp? If I am interested in high security space warfare, and using tricks to bait others into combat, high sec seems like the natural place doesn't it?

I like the thought of tracking people down, tricking them, using their own folly to bring them down, etc.

Low security fighting seems a lot more stacked against me as an inexperienced, low skilled, player.

You won't find will have a hard time finding a pirate corp in hisec that is actually useful.

Lowsec pirate corps don't operate exclusively in lowsec, they are familiar with crimewatch, and they are a good place to learn combat.

Several of the well-known hisec "pirate" (I use that term very loosely here) corps, are where bittervets go to die, or are not really places for learning. Any idiot can become a hisec ganker and proclaim themself a pirate... and many do, but there is more to piracy and combat than just ganking will ever teach.

Ganking is just one thing that hs pirates do - and to do it well and make a profit actually requires some skill. As for other hs activities - mission invading, war decs, can flipping, etc... the trick to them is all the same - getting the other guy to actually fight, which in my opinion requires as much skill as dry humpping someone on a gate or at a station or blopsing or blobing or whatever. In truth, all forms of eve pvp are fairly simplistic - but they do get more complicated as you can experience.

but it seems like the big war corps are flying ships that would smoke my 75dps Rifter in a heartbeat.

I need a career agent for the darkside.

Knowing what your 75 dps rifter can smoke and what can smoke you are key. Here is a guy that explains it as he is killing T2 ships 2 at a time on a character that is at most 17 days old.
