I second that!

The tournament went amazingly well this year, especially from a technical and organizational point of view. Things ran very smoothly indeed, and Antiquarian was an excellent choice to act as host.

I have really enjoyed this tournament.

i stayed up til stupid o'clock watching it.

i thought the competition was great with several great fights, those in studio and commentary box were great and the overal lproduction was great. As the new guy, i thought Chessur was immense and Antiquarian was a good host.

high standards to beat next year..

I have watched every Alliance Tournament since starting Eve Online, and all were great, but this one was the Best So Far.

Absolutely great work by everyone involved. Great Piloting. Great Teams. Great Commentating. Great work at all the jobs behind the scenes.

Truly amazing that so many would give of their time and talents for free, and this is for all the actual workers. You guys and gals are fantastic. We love you for it!

The Alliance Tournament is the greatest annual event in or associated with this game imo. I would prefer that some way be found to include all the matches next year. It is amazingly good for the game, at least from my perspective.

Anyone interested in this game, who misses these matches, is missing a tremendously entertaining way to enjoy and learn at the same time.

Tremendous Tournament everyone. I learned quite a bit in the time watching the matches and listening to the commentators. Great spirit and love for the game was continuously on display.

Hey, thanks. I'm terrible at gracefully accepting any sort of praise, but if we put something out there that players and fans could enjoy, I am definitely willing to celebrate a bit.

If there is something you want to see more or less of next year, please let us know. We're nothing if we aren't trying to improve.

Would be awesome to see a stable testing server for the teams that put months of their time into competing

I particularly enjoyed the quality of the stream and commentating.

The old dedicated server/closed system method was good, but not ideal. I think the new concept was alright, but delivered pretty late in the preparation cycle. On the plus side, now that we've got that sorted, it'll more a matter of making sure the tourney schedule doesn't conflict with disruptive Singularity updates next year.

It's an ongoing discussion, though. And better minds than mine are being applied to the task, I assure you.

It would be cool to have more background into each team other than just what commentators know from asking around/playing on TQ. That may be both informative and interesting to the viewer ship at home to see where the people they are watching in the gladiatorial ring come from

I toyed with that idea a bit before the tournament began, but it is (understandably) very difficult to get reliable information about players and teams, since all sources are partial and many are reluctant to share.

i was thinking along the lines of capsuleer "cards" for each pilot showing portrait, "positions" (logi, dps, support, etc) or ships, corp employment history, previous appearances in the AT (this gets tricky since a pilot may have been in the AT for one team on one account and been involved with a different team on a different account for a different year), and maybe some other incidental info like TQ Kills/Losses, tournament effectiveness, furthest MJD Out distance.

And then there could be corp cards, or alliance cards with similar information. HQ system/region, number of members, president or executor corp, Killboard info...nothing you can't find out already, but presented in a digestible little package on screen before the fight.

Part of the trick Is getting relevant stats/info, and the other part is finding the time to make it look pretty. Also, of course, ensuring the tech to get it on screen at the right time exists and works.

And then there's cutting off the desk crew to get the info up.

Still, I'm totally into it.

This would be pretty cool. Maybe before a match starts, display the opposing line-ups like the team formation shown before the start of a football match (http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41705000/gif/_41705404_4_4_2_416.gif) to show what role each ship in the team is likely to play. This would be particularly useful for newer players or non-players tuning in as a reference point for how a team works together and how each ship fits in to an overall strategy.

I like the position graphic idea. But it's just a matter of how much can be rapidly created and how it can be displayed.

We can't ask teams to provided detailed lists of all the fleets they expect to field. Tourney Meta makes that pretty impossible. And as far as I know we don't know which pilot is flying which ship until we move the teams into system. That leaves very little time to queue up and check an auto-generated graphic...manual creation on the spot seems extremely unlikely.

Display would probably require either breaking camera away from the field, or else displaying the graphic in a subwindow on the screen, which is already getting pretty crowded. The break away works (especially with the commentators reading the comps out at that point anyway), but timing would be the key there.

All that said, I think it would be great to represent conceptually what's on the field and deliver that visualization to the stream audience in a concise manner. Plus, graphics!

I'm hoping to talk with Logibro a bit about it later this year, when we're all fully recovered.

Something that was done in previous tournaments and not in this one as far as i could tell was a summary of the match, with damage done, taken, isk value and so on which could be really useful for those watching. It gives viewers something to look at, and commentators something to discuss.

I enjoy seeing the tactical overview of the matches, to better get a sense of the spatial relationships of the ships and what the pilots are doing. Having that as a hi-res full-screen twitch feed that can be viewed alongside the standard feed would be much appreciated.

My other request would be to let us CAS folks use our mains in the tournament as part of the CAStabouts alliance team. My participation was limited to practices and being a spectator but I'd like to fly in it some day as my main.

I would like to see AT ships have different point values from their faction/T2 counterparts because they are so powerful so teams can't just whipe the field because they could afford a 100bil ship while the other team couldn't.
Flag ships should be the only ship that breaks this barrier.

Hopefully there's less controversy around rulebreaks with AT XIV :)

1) Not having comentators the 1st weekend and calling the entire 1st weekend prelims was a slap in the face of every team that flew in the AT.

2)The above made this years AT a downgrade from previous AT & NEOs

3) The lack of a stable server on which to practice on, made practice literally hell for many. An could be part of why we lost half of the people that were helping us practice making it harder and harder to field and entire team for practice. This seriously needs to be addressed not just for our team but for any team that is wanting to fly in the AT.

4) A true double elimination tournament does not have best of 3 or 5 at the end of the tournament. Removing this would not only shorten the over all time of the AT but would also allow you to address item 1 of this post.

5) Fair play of teams Advertisements. You asked for adverts adverts were sent in and not given equal air time. Give equal airtime or dont have them at all. Infact you could also kill the sponsors as well. They are not really sponsors after all this is not the NEO where real world $$$ are being given out as prizes.

6) Have prizes ready before the AT even begins. Yep you heard right you should already have all the AT prizes already made even before they are announced. This would mean that within 48hrs of the AT being over all prizes could be sitting in the respective corps hangers. As it should be. I have shot in pool tournaments where the prizes were over $50,000 and when the things were over the cash was there to be given. Not having prizes ready is lame.

7) Addressing cheating/rule violations. This year there were several teams that violated the rules. The punnishment or lack of it for these teams has put a seriously bitter taste in many of the other participants mouths. What many learned from day one an its lack of punnishment was that the 1st rule is that there are no rules. Infact in the community look at what happened as a form of favoritism and are saying oh if that had been our team we would have had serious punnishments done.

These are the issues that I would have you address for over every teams that chooses to enter into the ATs sake.

As for the sake of my team and its future. I would ask that you seed RF-GGF Market on SISI as well as move my teams Arena to that system. Since that is where we are based out of and since most of our practice target dummies are often new players from CAS. This would help in many areas actually. 1) It would help out team as that is home base 2) Help get more players over onto SISI (Which just might help you in the mass testing area) 3) Allow us to begin a project that many of us are working on in helping new players get some PVP basics under their belts. (this would mean more targets of oppertunity on Tranquility as well).

I would again like to tip my hat to ISD for their work on the 1st weekend as well as to all those that worked after that to provide the community with entertainment. Also thanks to Groons for practice Scrims. To All of my corp mates who helped along the way. An the biggest thankyous goes to those long time pilots of CAS (Center For Advanced Studies) if it was not for all of you and the community you have built I probably would have quit EVE long ago instead of running a alt in a player corp just to represent you folks in the AT.

As for suggestions - it would be great if there would be a separate commentator channel for new player. With much more emphasys on the basics of the ships, flying etc. Especially it would be great during the first weekend of streaming.

Another thing that's lacking - localized streams. It would be great to have separate commentator teams for most popular languages besides English.
