i am caldari, the corp i am in are based in gallente space which is where i am living at the moment. i have just done the sisters epic mission set to increase my standing with the gallente race, however my standing is still 0.66 with the gallenet federation, my dilema is this, there is only a couple of lvl2 agents in gallente space that will offer me missions. my homeland of caldari space i have loads of lvl2 missions available.

should i remain close to my corp and build up gallente relations or bugger off to caldari space and crack on with my missions there?

once again many thanks for any advice.

Its upto you. Note though, that caldari missions will eventually hurt what Gallente standings you have.

You can either do the missions in Gall space and work up the ladder to open up more agents, or train some social skills to give you a boost to standings.

Keep going, and make sure that the corps you are working for are all the same, it doesnt help to work for Roden Shipyards one day and then Federation Navy the next. (btw Roden Shipyards has no clone facilities just so you don't grind 8.0 with them and find out the horrible truth after the fact.)

Also note that even if you are in Gallente space there cans till be Caldari agents there. A good example of this is my agent quartet page in my bio that highlights 4 level agents of all 4 main factions in a Minmatar region.

My point is that the few level 2 agents you say are available to you in Gallente space might still be Caldari. For level 2s you just need 1.0 so that shouldn't be too bad. Just train Connections and things should be easier.

Also keep in mind that the 0.66 you have is to the faction, not any specific corp. This means that once you have 1.0 with the faction you'll have access to ALL level 2 agents for every corp under the faction.

I would like to elaborate on this...

This is mainly only if you accept anti-faction missions. These can be identified fairly easily by the logo of the enemy faction being on the mission description. If there is no logo it's probably vs rouge drones or mercenaries.

You can still however lose a bit of standing even when you decline all faction missions and that's from derived standings. Derived standings give you little gains and losses to the other factions based on their relationships to each other. This means that working for Caldari gives small gains to Amarr and small losses to Minmatar and Gallente and vice versa.

These penalties are generally low enough though that so long as you put a little effort into it it's pretty easy to not only keep a balance but to slowly gain with all 4 factions. I myself have over 4.00 with all 4 of them :P (with connections applied)

Get "Connections" to level 3, and you should be able to run L2 missions for just about anyone.

Alternatively, drop corp and find a crew in Caldari space.
