What is your favorite FUN ship setup?

Ever have that ship? Doesn't have to be the best, or most powerful (but sometimes is) that just makes you laugh, or have a plain ol good time regardless of the outcome?

For me, the original was a high speed passive RFLML (back when I was noob in 08) as it was engaging to fly, and visually fun.

After that, it was probably a claymore I built during early days of incursions when tacklers were needed. We didn't have bling web ships in the early days. That Claymore was armor fit with double web and scram tackle fit. Toss in skirmish mindlink and the ganglinks, it was good times!

The big one of the day though has to be the one I fit up and flew around today to hang with some guys and be goofballs.

I had this Heretic in my hangar, never used. Bought it for pvp but ended up leaving null before ever got to it. So for being highsec hooligans stealing anoms from peeps, I fit it up with rocket launchers, ballistic control, T2 loading accelerator rigs... Oh, And I got L5 interdictors.

So this all added up to a 7 launchers at 1.6 second ROF spewing T2 furies at a +2km/sec orbit with stable mwd of course.... and I wasn't even in a missile implant clone.

It was pointless, ammo cost more than I woulda earned in those site!

But it was a fun!

What is your fav?

My first PVP kills came in a Vexor with a fit I wouldn't use now, but that was basically a brawling fit armor buffer that used two ECM modules in its utility mids.

The fit was hilariously fun as it would infuriate people to get ECMed by a ship that wasn't bonused for it.

Hull tanked neut tristan. I don't know if it really counts because it actually does well, but I love that feeling when I lose armor and hit hull and it starts taking damage sooooo slowly. Then you neut them out somewhere in hull and get to finish them off and there's nothing they can do about it.

Hull tanked, triple mag stabbed blaster Vigilant. Close to 900 DPS with heat on the guns + an additional 120-200 from a flight of medium drones. 3.1k m/s heated with no links or implants, 33k EHP, heated fed navy web brings things to a full stop from 18k.

I've got two ships that instantly come to mind...

The first is a cargo expanded and rigged Probe/Cheetah with a near instant warp capability.
I often use that as my setup of choice for small scale trade runs (within 980 m3 cargo).

The next setup is my speed fit Broadsword, which I mostly fly just for a laugh as my setup isn't optimal for actual combat use but it makes for an interesting tackle and I always enjoy making people scratch their heads at a HIC moving at way higher speeds than the average Interceptor... If I'm feeling overly silly I sometimes even take all defensive & offensive capabilities off it and push the speed above 6,000m/s before overheating... though that's only good for flying around with a high-priced target. I got a 10mn afterburner Corax for that.... Loaded with festival launchers and rof. Stacking fireworks from over 60km out makes for a pretty lightshow. I like attacking newbs and covering them with friendship

Once, to troll solo pvpers in fw, I made a passive tanked Merlin so they could sit their all day and do nothing. It had no guns of course, but it was pretty funny, I would always turn on a 10 hour version of the trollolol music and link it in local

This is a signature.

It has a 25m signature.

No it's not a cosmic signature.

Probably.

So far, the only fit I've tried which has been a bit crazy was the velator fit for completing the SOE arc, though I've been looking at whether a hull or armour tanked nereus could work... for bait.
I do have to admit to copying Ralph's Ishkur fit for my own purpose.

I fly a light missile, dual damp Kestrel that is my guilty pleasure ship. No point so it's not great solo, but it can sure be fun hitting out to 80km+, have 2 damps to annoy, and fast enough to act as scout.

Oh god... so many choices...

- Derptron: no other ship puckers up as many asses as this ship does... especially when you have a swarm of these beauties behind you.
Honorable Mention: when I was a nubbin the Taranis brought nothing but smiles to my face. Sadly, I never had enough money back then to fly them as much as I would like. Then they buffed frigates and Assault Frigates. I miss my Taranis.

- Brass-Balls Enyo: Take the Taranis fit of old... apply it to an Enyo. Add another Mag Stab. This little redheaded stepchild makes destroyers nervous.

- Thrasher: Because nothing screams Leeroy Jenkins quite like a cheapo destroyer that can be Armor-ECM tanked or Shield-gank fit. :)

- Vexor: Tank it to hell and roll into a brawl. Tracking disrupted, webbed, ECMed, and neuted to nothing? Vexor dun care! Drone do what dey want!

Beyond these ships I start being more cautious and care a bit more about whether I live or die. :P
