NERF BAT? If this is CCP way of controlling something they broke, then they're gonna lose PVP Customers who are paying for plex and loving the inflation on plex

The guy is totally trolling, CCP are not making fleets to kill incursions.

A better idea would be to have CCP Devs play as the Sansha randomly.

It'll ruffle the farmers to randomly come to one of the sites not controlled by a predictable AI.

wasn't there an isk faucet graph at one of the fanfests? I remember incursions paying out a lot, but they also give LP so there is some sink.

yes "couple of hundred players" make about half of the amount of isk the whole of nullsec makes.

Yup, totally CCP doing it to reduce the isk players can make, just space-minutes after they increased the rate at which incursions spawn in high sec. Roll

be funny if drifters just appeared and just started blitzing out sanshas with the middle finger out the window to the incursion runners

Even moreso, when probably the majority of Incursion fleets are actually populated by nullsec players.

Yeah, right premisse, wrong conclusion.

This is a more directed incursion rather than a farm fest. But restricting farming in incursions do not actually change plex prices because people will earn less. They will just earn differently.

And I might have been mislead, but this drifter thing is part of lore in the first place, and it is a trial run for a new technology CCP is going to implement as new AI for ordinary NPC all around. It has nothing to do with cheating people off of their ISK.

What is wrong with the devs running their own fleets? As long as they are not fake dev generated characters, they have as much right as anybody to play how they wish. If they want to blitz highsec incursions off the grid? Good for them. Just as long as they are doing it legit as players.

If incursions are up so short that nobody who actually enjoys them can have fun, maybe they can tweak the control timer so they are harder to adjust?

I know you think this helped, but it really didn't.

I think overall hes saying:

PLEX prices are too high, so he believes CCP have started running incursions themselves in order to reduce ISK flow to players, so they can't pay those high prices. As a result, the PLEX price will eventually drop because players won't be able to afford to continue paying the current prices as CCP is taking the ISK out of the game themselves through their fleets; and in the meantime, players that use PLEX rather than subscription, have to buy PLEX from CCP thereby increasing CCP's revenue.

He's tinfoil wrapped. Extra strength.

The incursion community is what, a couple of hundred people? Not really a huge impact on ISK flow, even if it were true.

To reinforce your argument:

On its face the entire idea is stupid. Even if we assume that Incursion accounts for 100% of player activity (which it doesn't): Once ISK have entered into the general economy, that ISK drives the ability to purchase OTHER stuff which supports OTHER economic activities that make ISK. Stopping ISK flow at one point in time does nothing to prevent already made investments in the current economy from bearing their juicy ISKian fruit.. it just slows down future growth.. and then only for the time its actually done This is basic economics, which the OP has probably never even been introduced to.. other than possibly understanding the dictionary definition of the words 'basic economics'.

Between the small number of peeps actually doing Incursions, and the basic economics of the situation: any action on the part of CCP to reduce available currency in circulation represents a really really really really small downward blip in overall growth of Eve's economy and available ISK.

Its... just... stupid.
