But where would all the socially dysfunctional players go then?

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Have you been invited into Eve by someone who hates you? Thus he didn't tell you what is this game about. On the very first page of eveonline.com you could find all related info. CCP said that many times, it is a sand box not a desert. You won't hide, adapt or die.

"The message is that there are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know" - CCP

You feel wrong.

No. EVE Online is a PvP game, and PvP belongs everywhere, that includes highsec.

If you don't like it, quit. I absolutely mean it.

Then you are very mistaken.

You pay for access to the server and the environment CCP provides the same as we all do. That much is true but until such time as CCP decide to make HiSec 100% safe you are at risk the moment you undock and long may it stay that way.

If you find this hard to believe you should consider facts that that CONCORD only provides retribution and that activities such as ganking have been with us since the beginning and despite years of whining and crying ganking is still going on.

If you want to play in the sandbox be prepared if not to fight when someone tries to kick sand in your eyes then to dodge.

I think its time we get separate personal and private instances where we can PvE without anyone coming in to kill us.

I'm pretty sure I pay to play the game, but how can I play if I am constantly harassed and killed?
I can't defend myself because I have almost no SP and my time is split between mining and watching anime, this creates a very unfair situation where the only option is to be constantly watching what is going on on my screen??? I play a lot of facebook games and they only require my presence every couple of minutes. Highsec should be like this IMO

Welcome to EvE, observe and interact or pay the penalty.

Then why are you playing EvE at all? Find a game that provides you with the safe and risk free gameplay you want and leave EvE to those of us that like a little spice in our game time.

For some reason I just get the feeling you're just being sarcastic or trolling or both.

But anyway, this game shouldn't have private instances (except captain's cabin, although some wish it wasn't so private). It's a PvP game as you well know and as such there should be no protected PvE or put another way, there should be no activity at least outside of a station that is potentially free of all combat PvP.

Because mining is a fun and relaxing pastime and it's in highsec??? Why should I be exposed to risk in high security space?

Because it's "high" security, not "total" security.

Risk is everywhere in EVE Online. Once again, if you cannot accept that, then kindly **** right off to Star Trek Online or some other such.

But there is no issue, you have it in your imagination.

If you don't like it, go back to WoW. This is EVE, HTFU or GTFO!

High Security not Total Security, why is that just so hard for you to understand?

Did you not do any research before signing up for this game last week?

I think Madd Adda has the right of it.

How is the security high if I can die instantly? I don't understand this. It's like there is no punishment for high-sec crime?

CONCORD is a retribution force, not a police force. They are reactionary, not preventive. They don't guarantee your safety just that the aggressor isn't let off scott free. YOU are responsible for your own safety, and in the event that you are aggressed, you have the opportunity to get back at them via kill rights.

There is, they lose their ship whether they successfully kill you or not.

It doesn't mean you don't have to bother defending yourself.
