I'M a carebear
The rest of your post disproves this statement, carebear isn't a playstyle, it's an attitude.

Judging by what you posted you're a PvE player not a carebear, there's a big difference.

That difference however is not widely known.

Hello all, first off yes this an alt as id like to keep my main nice and quiet lol.

IM a carebear, I like mining and mission running. Its just how I like to play. I also love the tingle I get when I undock.

You see I like the gankers and code. It adds a great tension to the game that I don't get anywhere else. Yes ive been caught and blown up a few times and yes its a pain, but the rush from trying to get away is intense. Im not much of a shooter, I always run and im now quite good at getting away and am seldom caught. I even make my fits a little harder for missions by keeping in mind other players coming after me. I hope that by doing everything I can to make you gankers work for my corpse im helping give a little back by engaging in my own way and making a little content back lol.

I say welcome the gankers and code members. They make high sec a really fun place to be. Perhaps we should be a little gentler to new players and help them understand the dangers in the game first then blow the hell out o them later.

What im trying to say is that pvp and ganking in high sec is perfect, eve is not meant to be totally safe anywhere. I think we all should make more of an effort to explain this to new players to lessen the shock when it happens.

You sir, are winning Eve. You have the right attitude to go far and achieve great things.

Maybe I'll get the chance to attempt to relieve you of your ship, maybe I'll succeed, maybe you'll best me, but either way we'll both have fun.

With an attitude like that, demonstrating you you truly understand the nature and the appeal of Eve, I'm sure you could safely post on your main if you chose to. You wouldn't have any problems from me. (Except maybe the occasional war dec of approval)

People often mistake the fact that your activity does not involve you shooting another player in the face with this activity not being classified as PvP. Then the tears manifest themselves and fall in deaf ears.

PM me in game. On your MAIN. I think you would be a great asset to my new program. If you'd like to experience the other side, that is.

Feel free to contact me as well. I also have some activities that may or may not be of interest to you.

So I would say if you want to go after suspects, don't do it in anything that's expensive enough for them to care about their killboards. They whole idea of suspect baiting is killboards and loot. Shoot at them on the cheap to cut your teeth on PVP and it's wasting their time.

With flashy reds and -10s, you can engage them even with the safety on green and not be flagged yourself. Chasing them is half the fun.

One of my favorite past pastimes was sitting cloaked off the Jita or Amarr undock in a Falcon, watching the station gamers trying to get fights. Once someone with a shot at winning took a fight and the suspect aggressed, I would uncloak and perma-jam them, or their logi that would no doubt soon appear.

I was of course a total ********.

I used to do that with a rook to merc groups with neutral logistics. Hilarious.

You, OP, are what we term a Gallant.

People like you are very much a part of James 315's grand vision of the future of highsec.

You should roll up a gank alt and fly with us sometime.

thanks for all the answers folks, its been very helpful. Just so you know im going to finish off a couple o things in high sec then jump in a frigate and go sight seeing for a bit, as in set a random destination and see whats going on out there. Thought I might try brave newbies too as ive heard theyre good?

The above people who have given offers for you to fly with them, take it. I did FW for a while and ended up being invited to do freighter ganking with loyalnon, who is well known in CODE. The experience in that one day has been with me, and there are some days it makes me want to bring out my innocent alt and go gank someone.

This game is wonderful in its expansiveness. Opprotunities abound, you just have to reach out and grab it. And squeeze just a little, Eve likes it rough.
