Camera controls such as 'Look At' should persist looking at that point in space when the object ceases to exist (ie goes *boom*) so that battle recordings can better capture the all important explosion.

Looking at a specific point might be tricky — I'm not entirely sure the engine would allow for that without creating dummy objects that just bog things down…

…but as luck would have it, boing boom already creates a reasonably similar object, so if the “look at” could be transferred to the newly created wreck, that would be sweet. P

That occurred to me; I think an interim solution of having look-at et all at a given ship auto-switch over to the wreck of that ship would be reasonably straightforward.

Edit: Which after reading your response more carefully, is exactly what you said.
