I would like to ask a few tips to get out best fps for EVE out my PC using Linux so far im considering gentoo or arch (i occasionally used linux for years).

PC spec.
Proc: i3-2100 (3,1 GHZ)
8GB ram
Video: GTX-550ti
SSD: Samsung EVO

I have read about that its posible to get good fps using gallium-nine, but i suppose it works only with ATI cards. I consider wine-staging as option. If someone have better ideas please share :)

You really should install linux before getting configuration tips.

That said. I have had good results with CMST. Though the framerates weren't terrible before it did even out the spikes and wasn't any trouble to install on arch.

I suspect the real trouble you are going to have with wine framerates is your older video card. That, and not actually having wine installed.

I achieve acceptable framerates with an nvidia 750 titanium card. No hard stuff required other than just today having to added a commandswitch to the shortcut in order to force it to use dx9 instead of dx11.
